COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Grapefruit Jungle is a west coast-style I.P.A. Aptly named for the rich grapefruit characteristics of the three hops used to create it, Grapefruit Jungle is bursting with hop flavor and aroma. With the equivalent of one pound of hops in every keg, Grapefruit Jungle is a hop lover’s dream!

16 oz can, courtesy stfun. This one pours a glowing sunset orange color and topped by a small, smooth head of off white foam that slowly settles to a thin film and leaving sudsy spots of lace around the glass. Thousands of bubbles quickly move up the glass giving it a lively appearance. The aroma is very west coat in nature showing big, juicy grapefruit and orange citrus up front followed by a toasted caramel malt base to add some sweetness to back up all the hop bitterness. The flavor follows suit, but not quite as bright as nose suggests with the juicy orange and bitter grapefruit up front along with notes of resinous pine. Toasted caramel and biscuit malts provide the balancing counterpart, but everything still tends toward to the bitter side from all the hops. The palate is substantial with some residual sugars adding heft to go with moderate carbonation that leads to a lengthy, bitter finish. This one doesn’t quite get as dry as some of the better west coast examples, but it is a really tasty brew and enjoyable to drink. Really good stuff. This brewery continues to impress.

16oz can shared by Dan P. at JohnGonk's sons birthday party. Poured a haY dark orange color with a small foamy white head. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus skins, and fresh cut grapefruit. Taste of pine right off the bat, followed by caramel malt, fresh grapefruit, and citrus zest.

Pours a somewhat hazy amber with a smaller khaki head. Nose was quite subdued and malty, some citrusy orange trying to peek through the caramel malt. Fairly sweet, fairly bitter, not especially intense. Medium bodied, oily, grainy, finishing a bit dull. Not really impressed with this. I’ve had some good hoppy brews from Sun King, but this was not one of them.

Love all the citrus that comes through during the aromas and taste of this IPA. Acquired this via a trade and was my first from this brewery.

Growler from the Sun King tasting room. A medium amber, clear pour with a one inch head. Hoppy aroma. A hoppy, carbonated bite with a little sweetness and tart citrus at the end. Finishes with hoppy bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16 oz. can thanks Queenholly! Pour is a amber gold color with thick lasting head and sheets of lace. Nose is big on Grapefruit (go figure) pine needles and traces of caramel. Flavor starts with pine cone, mango, candi sugar rounded out with a nice grapefruit kick. Light on the palate with lots of juicy hops. I wish I could sample this on draft, real solid brew. I drained the can with ease.
