3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a deep orange with a thin white head. Crystal clear with medium carbonation. Malty aroma with some earthy hop notes. Rich malty flavor with a touch a spiciness (almost like pumpkin pie spice). Sweet beginning with a semi-dry finish. Crisp clean mouthfeel with a medium body. Nice Oktoberfest with a spicy twist.

Pint can to mug. Clear light amber lager. Bready and biscuity. Definitely more of a traditional german style. Not a huge malt bomb.

Can. Clear golden amber with a frothy beige head that lasts on the sides. Aromas of caramel, light biscuit, and citrus. Flavor is the same. Medium bodied, smooth.

Backlog rating on 9-08-2012 at Mad Anthony Brewing Company Oktobeerfest (Fort Wayne, IN) The appearance of this draft beer is a large off-white head with a long retention, transparent gold body, very little carbonation observed, and a fair amount of lacing adorns my glass. The aroma is caramel malt, light hops and fruity. The flavor is caramel malt, semi-sweet, and light hops. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is medium bodied. This beer is easy drinking but does not have much character.

Copper/orange in color. Aroma is malty and bready. Flavor semi-sweet with caramel, bread, toffee malts...very light hops. Not a standout, but definitely would scratch that marzen itch well enough.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Missed the mark on many levels. Looks good though. Copper color, white head. Aroma lacks and smells like caramel malt and grain. Taste is slight carmalized plastic with a hint of sugar. Carbonation left the beer early leaving it lacking and has a very light body.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can bought as a gift from Elanas business trip to Indy. Decent dark looking amber color with a crisp malty backbone. Nothing special but that must just be because of the style

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
16 ounce can, 13259 is stamped on the bottom of the can. Not sure if that’s the best by or the canned on Julian Date (September 15, 2013). Served in a mug, the beer pours a clear amber color with about a half inch off-white head. Head retention is good, and there’s a decent amount of lacing. The brew smells like toasted and caramel malt, nuts, and some grassy hops. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s also the addition of some bready/grainy malt. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit slick, smooth and easy to drink. I liked this brew, but at $13.49 a 4-pack, it’s better to buy a single of this brew if you want to try it.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
16 oz. can courtesy of queenholly. Clear amber in color with long lasting, bubbly head. Aromas of toasted bread, caramel malts and some herbal notes. The flavor is toasted caramel malt, lager yeast and a very light spice. Finish is lightly sweet with a thin body. The Oktoberfest style is normally a very simple style. This brew is right along the average in its class. Overall clean and simple.
