16 oz can purchased at Keg Liquors in New Albany, Indiana. The pour is orange copper, lightly hazed, with a somewhat off white head. The aroma is lemon bitter hops, a bit grassy, along with a toasted bread maltiness. The taste has a nice balance between the resin orange citrus hops and the bready malt. The palate is medium bodied, soft natural carbonation, and a dry bitter mineral finish. Solid Pale Ale.

Can. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden color with a moderate pillowy white head. Nose is actually quite hoppy - there are some nice floral elements to it that really come through. Taste isn’t too bitter, but has a nice hoppy floral taste to it. Very easy drink.

5/06/2010: Sun King Osiris Pale Ale... Aroma: Vibrant citrus and faint pine hops. Appearance: Transparent yellow color; stagnant, small, off-white head; fast carbonation bubbles. Flavor: Fruity hops (resin, weak tangerine, grapefruit, floral); great level of hoppiness and bitterness (moderate that stick in the throat). Palate: Medium-light, a touch thin. Overall: This is a nice, sessionable Pale Ale.
1 pint can; Alc. 5.6% by Vol. Rating #17 for this beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
I wasn’t sure what to expect but since the price was only $3.50 for a pint the risk was minimal. The reward was a solid and flavorful pale ale. Not quite heavy enough to wear down the palate it still had enough depth to keep from being a boring one trick pony. Oh, and it also comes in relatively inexpensive cans if that is your thing.
Aroma / Appearance - The rosy red body glowed with warmth like a dim fire. A pillowy white head remained after a few minutes. Beneath was the smell of cedar, polished bronze, caramel, and dashes of honey. The warm bitterness glues everything together like strands of tree sap.
Flavor / Palate - Light and easy going, the first impression is of oranges and lemons. The transition towards a woody finish brings the hops into focus clearly. Over time it becomes a little predictable. However it is still good enough to keep a four pack around for hot summer afternoons. If you are in central Indiana check it out and support a local brewery.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
16 oz. can from a trade. Lager glass shows me a clear gold colored body with a thick, dense and off-white head which laced until the last drop. The aroma is full of citrus hops, notes of grass and toasted bread malt. Taste is dominated by the hops but has a solid backbone of bread malt. This could be on the borderline of an IPA. The carbonation was perfect giving a light zing on the tongue. Finish is real clean. Super easy to drink and well crafted.

Draft. Pours a translucent copper with a white head of foam. Pine, and bitter grapefruit peel come through in the aroma. Mildly bitter. Finishes sweeter. Dry as well.

Pint at Chumley’s then again at Radio Radio while being blown away by the sound of Caspian. What a combination. Anyway, there is not much to really say about this beer if you’ve had dozens of American pale ales. This one is very approachable and textbook with modest grapefruit and citrus with comforting malts. This is very clean and on the lighter side of the style. Fantastic for a session, just don’t expect anything out of the ordinary.

Can. Floral grapefruit and piney hops aroma. Hazy honey gold with a moderate thick white head. Floral citrus peel hops and caramel malt flavor, with a long, lingering spicy bitter finish. Light to medium body, lively carbonation, and a slightly dry finish.

This is a very nicely balanced IPA. Obviously well hopped, but the rich, even creamy, malty caramel backbone make this a pretty smooth ride over all. Tried in Richmond, IN in 2013.
