3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jcos (1175) - Maryland, USA - JUL 10, 2012
Location/Date:Can on July 10th, 2012.
Appearance: Pours an orange copper.
Aroma: Light pine, citrus.
Taste: Medium bitterness, piney, some grapefruit.
Palate:Light body, lingering aftertaste.
Summary: First off, thanks Dave for getting the beer! This beer has a lot of flavor, especially for 5.6%. Something in the taste is just slightly short of greatness to me, and that’s why I give this a very good but not great rating. Maybe it’s bordering on IPA land and so I want more.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 weihenweizen (1165) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Refrigerated 1 pint can from JoePeesie poured into a shaker. Pours clear deep golden with big bright fluffy white head. Big bubble fluffy lacing, medium body, medium carbonation, slightly resinous texture, and nice hop aroma. Taste is citrus, some long pine, and slightly bitter finish. Better than expected.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Nephilium (1152) - Ohio, USA - JAN 18, 2012
This starts with a strong grapefruit hop aroma, surprisingly strong for a pale ale. Pours a clear light amber, with an ample white head. This beer truly showcases hops, with a big punch of citrus, fading to a mild bitter finish. There’s not much malt noticeable, just a touch of biscuit in the center. This is an outstanding Pale Ale, if you like hops.

Can from Stfun. Poured a golden color with medium nice head. Aroma was grassy and citrus. Taste was much more bitter than i was expecting which was a plus in my book. Pretty solid pale ale.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 dbarnold (1073) - Bethesda, Maryland, USA - JUL 7, 2012
Very pleasant session beer and a good example of an american pale. Light, drinkable with a decent malt backbone, but hops dominate. It’s moderately bitter and heavy on the citrus. Finish is crisp, clean and refreshing.

16 oz can, courtesy StFun. Pours a mostly clear golden yellow and topped by a small, off white foamy head that dissipates quickly. The aroma shows notes of light, floral hops, light citrus, and some fresh grass all atop a pale malt base. The flavor follows with some light citrus, and fresh cut grass to go with floral hop bitterness. The pale bready malts adds a touch of sweetness to go with the light bitterness from the hops. Light bodied on the palate with good carbonation and a lingering floral hop bitterness on the finish. This is an easy drinking pale ale, but just lacks that something extra to set it apart.

Can thanks to JoePeesie! Clear amber pour with moderate eggshell head. Aroma is full of pine and earthy hops backed by plenty of caramel malt and bread. Flavor is hop dominant of spruce, orange peel, and dirt backed by caramel malt. Some lemon in the finish with moderate rush of hops. Really good!
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Block (1039) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - MAY 15, 2011
Had this at Sun King and also picked up a growler. Hoppy/ yeasty aroma. Amber pour with a malty sweet taste and hoppy finish. Definitely a stronger and more flavorful pale ale.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 satan165 (1008) - River Grove, Illinois, USA - SEP 18, 2010
aroma is very light pine, mostly dull wet grains. appearance is tranlucent deepened amber, filmy head, good lacing. flavor is orange zest, fresh lemon leaves which unfortunately come across as artificial at times. fresh pale malt not nearly as grainy here as in nose, great balance but zero pine or other sharp hop character

I can’t agree with the other reviewers. My take: caramel malt-5%, wheat-10%, citrus carbonation-10%, hops-75%. Not much depth, heavy on the "piney" hops, but cleans the palate and awakens the appetite very well.
