Draft. Poured a clear golden color with a moderate frothy white head that lasted and had good lacing. Medium floral sweet grain aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This beer met my expectations.

Sparkling gold pour. GABF sample. Aroma of cirsp light hops, toasted grain and maybe a hint of a buttery note. Flavor is crisp, roased malts, crackers, light bread and no real popcorn flavor to speak of.

Can. Creamy barley malt and herbal hay aroma. Golden yellow with giant white head and mild effervescence. Sweet creamy barley malt, hay, and mildly bitter herbal hops flavor. Not bad - tastes like a hybrid of a German Pils and Helles.

Can... Clear yellow pour with a large, pillowy, white head. Decent retention. The bouquet is a mingling of mildly toasted malts and spicy, peppery Euro-hops. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. The flavor leans toward the bitter side of balance, even at room temperature. Short, snappy, dry finish. Can courtesy of StFun!

On tap at Haymarket. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains and a bit of sweet fruits. Flavor has a bit of crisp grass with flora and a backing light grain.

16oz can. Canned in May. Clear golden orange color. Pours with a bigger white head, that fades to nothing by the end of the beer. Corn, bread flavor, mildly toasty. Not much else. Lighter to medium body. Smooth, kind of crisp, light soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Moderate sweet taste. Very light bitterness. Just a touch of pepperiness, but mostly just bready + some corn. Decent, but not much to it. Bit sweet for a pilsener (currently labeled as such on RateBeer). Drinks kind of like a helles.

Can from notes. Pours a clear golden color with a large fluffy off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale malts, corn, hay, bready, light floral notes, just pretty bland.

Draft to taster. According to the description at The Tap, this beer is brewed with Indiana-grown popcorn. Looks solid; a tcompletely transparent light gold with foamy white head. Smells of mild hops and pilsner malt and what seems to be a hint of popcorn. I could just be looking for it though. Tastes like it smells with a subpar mouthfeel that is dull and has no snap whatsoever. Eh.

June 2014. Sampled in Bloomington, IN - 16oz can. Clear gold pour with a frothy off-white head. Light clean aroma, crisp, floral and a touch of spice, hay and dough. Refreshing flavor, went down nicely on a warm night in the Midwest - crisp, floral, doughy, slightly dry. Tasty.

Draft on tap at Haymarket’s Sun King Takeover (Chicago, IL). Pours a rich straw golden hue, near transparent with lively carbonation. A frothy whitish head atop wit good lacing, dies to a firm clinging film. Aromas are gentle bready and dry malts, with some Pils elements, gentle dryness, mellow warm bread, touches of dry earthy hops. Initial is lighter end of the spectrum as far as body, offering gentle apple and bready malts, some cereal grains, touches of earth grassy hops, gentle mellow yeast spice. A mellow front end leads into a sweeter tangy fruit middle, with apple, gentle pear, perhaps that is the popcorn. Finish is a bit more dry and earth, a kiss of vegetal qualities, mellow earthy hops. A more fruit slant on a Pils which seemed a bit odd.. It’s ok, but as far as style, I was a bit surprised.
