COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sky Cake is a unique and flavorful beer. We have affectionately dubbed it an aleger because it was fermented with a lager yeast at ale temperatures, which gives the beer flavor characteristics of both. Sky Cake has a smooth malt start that is complimented by lots of hops to create a full flavored, yet balanced drinking experience.

Draft at brewpub. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate hop and toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of modertate duration. Complex soft beer.

This beer does have some unique characteristics. Some sweetness from the malts which is balanced nicely by a solid hop profile. The yeast does impart a bit of flavor which is a little off kilt from what you would traditionally expect, but still a subtle difference.
