COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wee Mac is a Scottish style brown ale. Fermented at cooler than normal temperatures to mimic the climate of Scotland. Wee Mac is an easy drinking brown ale that is both smooth and malty wit caramel and chocolate tones. Hops are used sparingly in this beer and serve only to help balance the sweetness of the malt.

Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy reddish pour with off white head, aroma brought caramel, toffee, some grass, hints of bread, dough, not a whole lot there. Taste is sweet caramel, bread, biscuit, some earth, touch of grass, finishing sweet.

Can: brown with a tan head. This is an awful example of a Scottish ale. This is crap and tastes like a dark lager essentially. Meh.

Sample at GABF. Comes reddish brown with a small tan head. Mild aroma of malt, fruit, and caramel. Taste is similar. Somewhat sweet, but very drinkable.

Pint can into a glass. Deep ruddy, copper pour. Sweet caramel and dark fruit aroma. Taste is woody, cola, dark fruits, vanilla, sugar. Not my favorite style...and this is a good example of all the things I dislike about it.

"I love me some scotch ale when the weather starts to turn, and while this is a nice enough brew, a wee heavy it is not. 5.4%, and you can tell. Slight earthy hops, dark fruit, caramel, and maaaaybe a hint of peat. Pretty good, but I was hoping for a standout."

This is a great beer - and my gf loves it too! I definately get caramel and toffee in this beer, but it really isn’t sweet. I’m not big on hoppy beers, and the hops/bitterness in this beer really feels balanced with all of the flavors. It looks like an ale, with a nice brown color, and smells a little sweeter than it tastes. Overall - a great beer that I enjoy a lot!

Can poured a lightly hazy brown hue w/ medium tan fizzy fully diminishing head. Moderate sweet malt aroma. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ a faint bitter finish. Tastes are marshmallow, caramel, brown sugar and malt. Light to medium bodied, watery mouthfeel and tannin in the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at St. Elmo. Pours a deep ruby/caramel with a thin, near tan head that leaves lacing. Aroma has soft notes of caramel, bread, and fruity esters. Taste is balanced. Caramel, fruit esters, slight bread. Medium body and carbonation. Clean and creamy in the mouth. Overall very drinkable with caramel and an English yeast taste.
