COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wee Mac is a Scottish style brown ale. Fermented at cooler than normal temperatures to mimic the climate of Scotland. Wee Mac is an easy drinking brown ale that is both smooth and malty wit caramel and chocolate tones. Hops are used sparingly in this beer and serve only to help balance the sweetness of the malt.

Can courtesy of motortoddhead. Deep brown red with fluffy off-white head. Toasted malt, light caramel, and a touch of plastic. Toasted malt, biscuit, grain, mild fruit punch, with a dry, lightly bitter finish. Pretty light on the palate.

Pint can. Chocolate, toffee, slight smoke, tannins, toast. A quick nip of hops on the front end, and a multi-layered malt experience follows, tumbling in waves over the palate. About a two out of five on the sweetness scale, and as it seems like there are a lot of sweet beers out there this year, I wouldn’t say this one is overly sweet. Enjoyed it very much.

A-pours a clear ruby red color with orange edges, a white head with little retention and no lace. S-the nose is light, toasted bread, a touch of grain, sweet caramel, herbal hops in the back. T-a toasted breadiness right up front, slightly grainy with notes of toffee in the middle. some sweet dark fruits blend in at the back with notes of tropical fruity hops to finish off. M-very light body but smooth on the palate, good carbonation to hold the feel throughout and a clean soft finish. D-easy drinking and tasty, nothing huge but a good balance and flavor profile.

16 oz can. Pours clear ruby amber with a big fizzy off white head that goes to a thin film.

The aroma is sweet peaty caramel malts with a little fruit.

The flavor is sweet peaty caramel malts. The mouthfeel is thin and very watery.

Overall, very thin and watery and bland.

16 ounce can. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours a clear copper/brown color with a half inch off-white head that went away quickly. There’s a small amount of lacing left behind on the glass. The brew smells like toffee, nuts, and toasted malt. It tastes like toffee, nuts, peat, and caramel/toasted malt. Mouthfeel/body is low/medium, it’s smooth and has moderate carbonation. It is pretty easy to drink. At $11.49 a 4-pack I wouldn’t buy it again at that price, but I do think it’s a brew that’s worth trying.

On tap as time bar in Indy. Light body. Slight acortiah ale taste but not much going in. Not bad. But not impressive either. Easy drinking. Good beer to have with a burger.

Can. No head. Dark brown. Not hoppy or bitter. Not an old chub but a nice change of pace. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
