COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wee Mac is a Scottish style brown ale. Fermented at cooler than normal temperatures to mimic the climate of Scotland. Wee Mac is an easy drinking brown ale that is both smooth and malty wit caramel and chocolate tones. Hops are used sparingly in this beer and serve only to help balance the sweetness of the malt.

From the can, dark amber/copper pour, aroma is minor peat with lots of malts, taste is very similar with a little maple. Good, but not great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap. Brownish amber brew with a ring of off-white head. Nose of dark fruit, some smoke, and nuts. Flavor is nutty as well with some peat, caramel, and raisin.

Can courtesy of motortoddhead. Deep brown red with fluffy off-white head. Toasted malt, light caramel, and a touch of plastic. Toasted malt, biscuit, grain, mild fruit punch, with a dry, lightly bitter finish. Pretty light on the palate.

Sampled on tap at the brewery. The appearance is darker amber. Light malts and a touch of caramelization. Mouth feel a bit light. This one didn’t really do it for me.

16oz can. Pours deep amber with a small white Froth. Aroma slightly fruity some chocolate and a light smokiness, plenty of sweet bread and caramel. Flavor starts sweet with caramel and some fruitiness, bread finish and some lingering chocolate and sweet caramel. Medium body and a sharP carbonation. Middle of the road

Can: brown with a tan head. This is an awful example of a Scottish ale. This is crap and tastes like a dark lager essentially. Meh.

A-pours a clear ruby red color with orange edges, a white head with little retention and no lace. S-the nose is light, toasted bread, a touch of grain, sweet caramel, herbal hops in the back. T-a toasted breadiness right up front, slightly grainy with notes of toffee in the middle. some sweet dark fruits blend in at the back with notes of tropical fruity hops to finish off. M-very light body but smooth on the palate, good carbonation to hold the feel throughout and a clean soft finish. D-easy drinking and tasty, nothing huge but a good balance and flavor profile.

Pint can. Chocolate, toffee, slight smoke, tannins, toast. A quick nip of hops on the front end, and a multi-layered malt experience follows, tumbling in waves over the palate. About a two out of five on the sweetness scale, and as it seems like there are a lot of sweet beers out there this year, I wouldn’t say this one is overly sweet. Enjoyed it very much.

On tap as time bar in Indy. Light body. Slight acortiah ale taste but not much going in. Not bad. But not impressive either. Easy drinking. Good beer to have with a burger.
