COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wee Mac is a Scottish style brown ale. Fermented at cooler than normal temperatures to mimic the climate of Scotland. Wee Mac is an easy drinking brown ale that is both smooth and malty wit caramel and chocolate tones. Hops are used sparingly in this beer and serve only to help balance the sweetness of the malt.

Sample at GABF. Comes reddish brown with a small tan head. Mild aroma of malt, fruit, and caramel. Taste is similar. Somewhat sweet, but very drinkable.

Can, somewhere in Indianapolis I canít remember. Weak, bland and all-together a bad experience. Would never go down this road again.

Aroma is malty beer, but nothing that reminds me of Scotch Ale. Flavor does deliver a little in that way. Body, despite being malty, is still a touch thin. An ok beer. Iíll enjoy this one, but not get another.

Quick notes of scotch malts. Crisp middle hint of caramel? At the brewery in Indy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Sampled on tap at the brewery (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a nice dark amber, brown notes, a bit more orange at the bottom with a spotty offwhite head that dies to a film that clings to the edges. Just a bit hazed, just darker. Aromas are sweet caramel malts, a touch of toast, vanilla, faint cocoa, and bread. Sweeter. Initial is medium bodied, a bit lighter than expected, caramel and toffee blend with vanilla, grains, a touch of toast, and a sweetness, possibly a touch of dark fruit. A bit thin for the style, the malt is the focus as it should be, but this is just a bit underwhelming in flavor and body for the style. Ok, one of the more dissappointing when compared to style.

1/2 growler courtesy of stfun. Pours ruby red with a tan head. Smells of soap, caramel, metallic. Tastes of sweet malt, orangey, earthy, tangy. Average.

Sampled on tap at the brewery. The appearance is darker amber. Light malts and a touch of caramelization. Mouth feel a bit light. This one didnít really do it for me.

Pours a need ruby, nice head that dissolves pretty quickly, aroma is weak, taste is weak, not sweet, a little malt bitterness. But I like the can.

16 oz can from Sherm1016....Thanks. Pours a fairly clear brown....minor head that quickly departs...no lacing. Malty nose and mild taste. Nothing negative...just not much notable....good smooth session-able beer...but there are better ones out there.

Scottish style brown ale my butt. Straight up malt liquor is more like it. But a good one. Heavy corn flavors. Dusty hops. Oxidized malts with bits of paper, metallic, medium caramels. Light lemon tang. The texture is well done -- effervescent and lightly creamy. No fusels nor apparent alcohol. Weird but solid.
