3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Poured clear dark copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate rye and earthy hop aroma. Medium body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth dry rye bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a very good beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 13, 2010 On draught at Heorot in Muncie, IN. This brew is a clear orange-amber color with a medium foamy light beige head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Hoppy aroma with some toasted malt notes. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops and sweet bready malt. Some earthy and spicy notes as well, which may be the rye. The finish is hoppy with a lingering earthy aftertaste. Decent beer overall.
