COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first ever true lager is certainly not fizzy yellow water, but it is an authentic German pils with lots and lots of real German tettnang hops! This beer is just the right thirst quencher for the hot Arizona summer.

Note: The last batch was brewed at Four Peaks and sold as Poppin’ Pils there as well.

Clear gold pour with a lasting foamy head. Aroma of grain and earthy and citrus hops. Slightly sweet flavor, with a mildly bitter hop finish. Refreshingly good.

Sparkling gold pour with a fizzy head. A bit of malt along with some grassy and floral hops. Nice and very refreshing.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2011 (on draught at Tempe Four Peaks location under Poppin’ Pils name). Pours gold with white head. Aroma of bread, bubblegum and some floral. Sweet with a little salty. Mild hops. Somewhat heavy body with oily texture. Slightly bitter finish. Nice drinkable beer. Maybe it’s the heat inside Four Peaks....

On tap at what is now referred to as Sun Up. Pours a bright golden color with steady carbonation and a trim white head that leaves a fair amount of lacing. Smells mildly of grass and hops. Tastes like chewing on straw. Could certainly use a bit of sweetness. Decent for the style.

from the taps a rich golden color with a fluffy white head which leaves some drippy lacing as it recedes. the aroma is super grassy along with some earth, a touch of citrus and grainy dryness. just a touch of sweetness compliments the flavors of grain, earth, citrus and grass. dry herbal/ straw-like finish with a hint of spice. full bodied. very slick and rich mouth feel. quite dry and satisfying on such a hot day...

Tap @ Brewhouse. Yellow body with white head. Mild beer aroma nothing really stood out on the nose, odd. Light fruits with a medium malt blend. The bittering hops is the most noticable. Good dinner brew little dry on the palate to be a thirst quencher for me anyway.
