3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured up at the brewpub with clear deep gold body and near white head. The aroma is bold sweet and sugar like with malts as well as pine hops. The taste has firm and pleasing levels of pine hop bitterness at the level of most eastern US IPA. So I love that aspect of this beer. It has mild notes of malts, roasted malts and grapefruit hop bitterness all rounding out small supporting roles.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This was the tasted second during lunch. Stinger is a modest APA. More hops! The ale poured a nice clear amber. The head was modest but was lasting. Good balance for the medium body ale. The excellent chili may have clouded some of this experience. This is an APA for everyday drinking.
