I’m not a big fan, perhaps its just the style. Fairly light yet it still manages to have a good, if understated malty flavor and slightly hoppy aftertaste. It just needs to be "more", but then it wouldn’t be an alt.

Deep ruby amber hue. Big milky head with a chalky malt nose. Big malts all the way through, some notes of fruit and chocolate, nutty, medium bodied, pleasant carbonation providing a velvety mouthfeel. Finishes slightly hopped up finish. Pleasant and enjoyable, very quaffable.

Deep red/amber color topped with a medium thick foamy head and good lace. Sweet malty aroma with a slight fuitiness and hop background. Sweet hoppy flavor well balanced with maltiness and a touch of fruitiness. very nice flavor. Medium bodied with a slight dryness yet very smooth.

Rish Cooper w/ accented reddish hue. Slight hopsack/horseblanket aroma. Medium bodied, a little watery. Malty, fruity flavours w/ notes of licorice and nuts. Bitter, stale, hop finish.

Bottled. Darkish brown, nearly opaque cloudy color topped with a decent quick-dying head; I got little lacing though. Nose is subtly malty with a hint of floral hoppiness. I thought the flavor pretty bold upfront, with some chocolate and almond nuttiness; kind of backs off at the end and the body could be more, but overall a nice effort. The only Stone Coast I picked up on my recent Maine trip, but I’ll try to find more.

Nice hint of hops in the aroma that did not materialize in the flavour. Nice and crisp and light.

Very interesting brew. I found it to be light, but still very much having a full flavor. I’d love to be able to try it again sometime.

Nice deep dark color, decent head, generous lace. Malt nose with some floral undertones and to me just a hit of cocoa, full body, nice hop presence, but not overly so. Moderate carbonation and somewhat dry finish. Quite a good beer, thanks Venom!
