On tap @Grünerløkka Mat- og Mikrobrygg Festival 2012. Cloudy gold colored body, topped by a thin foamy blond head. Initial aroma of dough, white bread and yeast, offset by spicy, grassy and light citrus-fruity hop tones. Soft, almost mellow malt flavor. Fruity, floral and bubbelgummy yeast tones. Noticable bitterness underneath. Spicy endnotes. A pretty good Blond. [24.08.12]

In short: A fruity and medium-hoppy blond ale, very satisfying beer
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Partly cloudy blond body topped by medium white head with medium retention
In long: The nose is surprisingly intense with plenty of tropical fruits and tangerines over dry grassy hops and a bed of fresh cereals. Taste is clean, a bit tangy, plenty of fruits (fresh juicy apples, pineapples, oranges, passion fruits, grapefruits, more), plenty of fresh cereals and I suspect some Saaz here because of a dry grassy finish with a spicy twist. Bitterness of medium intensity with a moderately dry finish, this is a well balanced beer. Very nice mouthfeel, clean, full, lively. To me it tasted halfway between a superior hoppy Golden/Blond Ale and a fruity light Belgian Blond ale. Don’t let the name fools you, usually when a pub names a beer simply ‘blond’ it usually means a boring entry-level blond ale, this is not the case here. This is very drinkable and very satisfying ale. Enjoyed this beer during a quiet afternoon at this brewpub when there was only the waiter, the brewer and one weirdo drinking alone at a table, and I should stop calling myself names.

on tap at the brewery. Hazy dark golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is more sweet and fruity than regular Blondes. According to the brewer it has more malts than previously. the added malts is also noticable in the flavour.

Medium white head. Hazy opaque deep yellow body. Earthy funky fruity aroma with mealy perfumy orangey notes. Dryish herbal orangey taste with mealy coriander notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mealy mouthfeel. Dryish orangey herbal coriander aftertaste with papery grassy perfumy notes. Really nice. (0.5l draft at brewpub.)
