4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Øl- og akevittmessen 2012 in Stavanger. Misty, caramel orange body with a creamy, inch thick, light brown head. Toffee caramel, light tobacco, floral, sprucy, malty nose. Hoppy, pine bitter, rich malty flavors. Full bodied. Light doughy texture. Dry tongue and a long bitter finish. Really nice.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Håndverkerstuene. Dark, deep reddish brown, slightly hazy. Big beige head, good amount of lacing.. looks very inviting. Aroma is quite sweet, almost mealy. Loads of caramel, some apricots and peach, or juicy canned tropical fruits in general. Some alcohol. Does make me think it will be on the sweet side of my preference, though. The flavour profile is lighter than the nose suggests, more bitterness that balances out all the sweetness. Some almost liquorice-like burntness in the finish. Mellow but sufficient carbonation, nice and soft mouthfeel. It did turn out a tad sweet for my tastes, but all in all this is very solid.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Amundsen
Copper hazy, beige head. SMells of pine, grass, tropical fruits and malts. Quite malty, medium sweet, fruity body. Heavy bitter finish, resins, grass and some pine. Medium body, light oily texture, soft carbonation. I really like the hop bill on this one. Typical east coast style, with nice malts to back it up.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
In short: A well balanced copper IPA with a nice fruity complexity
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Almost clear light copper body topped by a medium beige head with medium retention and leaving lots of lacings on the glass
In long: The moderately hoppy nose has scented fresh pine-tree, citrus fruits and some grass. There is also notes berries in the aroma. Taste starts with a sweet fruity attack that is like a hard barley candy lollipop and an array of fresh red fruits that reminded me of their Red Ale (wild berries, non-sour red cherries, cranberries, blueberries). Then comes a good amount of that is herbal, fruity and with a spicy twist. This one to me tasted like a cranked up version of their Red Ale with extra hops, which is not a bad thing since I liked their Red Ale. Yet another flawless beer rating by me, it is not easy being near flawless like me, but don’t worry, I have flaws too, like when I just lied about being near flawless.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ Crowbar. This is a deep blurry almost cloudy looking peach red beer with a small and side sticking head. Fruity sweet on the aroma with a clear hoppy opinion. It’s average on the carbonation and light oily on the mouthfeel. Really tasty. Sweet and malty yet balanced out with a fruity almost sour hoppy thing. Loads of hops in this, lovely bitter, slightly mouthdrying in the finish. Peaches and cream. I’m really starting to grow found of the beer produced by Sundbytunet. 02.03.2013

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub. Lightly unclear, dark amber and topped by a dense, off-white head. Citrusy, piney nose with a caramel maltyness. Lightly nutty, but the hops dominates. Quite bitter, but nothing extreme. Caramel maltyness in the back, with citrusy, piney and lightly grassy hops. Full body, smooth and soft. A quite pleasant one, but a bit sweeter than I’d prefer. 120505
