2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Palme (2311) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 22, 2013
On tap @ Crowbar. This is a near-clear golden one. It has a small just off-white head. It feels low on the aroma, but there are traced of some grains, thin caramel not much more really. The taste is light buttery with some sweet corn, a soft fruity tone and some hay. It’s soft oily in the mouthfeel and about average on the carbonation. All in all a fair but forgettable pilsner. 01.03.2013
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 daje (1400) - NORWAY - MAR 4, 2013
On tap at Crowbar, december 14th 2012. Clear light golden body, medium white head. Aroma of crisp malt and grass hops, hints of fruit. taste is carefully grassy and malty, high drinkability though a bit short on taste. Good mouthfeel and the bitternes suits the beer well, ending the beer malty with a lasting bitterness.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 Smaskifa (111) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 17, 2013
Tap at Beer Palace, Oslo. The first impression when the molecules from this bugger reaches the neurons of my nose is ’how ordinary...’. For a micro brewed lager this really is not special, I tried my best to pick up something which could make this stand out compared to the common lager but had a hard time. It might be a little more full on when it comes to taste, but very marginally. Nothing special unfortunately. Might have been a bad cask judging by the other ratings here.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Glouglouburp (5619) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 26, 2012
In short: A straightforward classic german style thirst lager pushing forward its freshness quality
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear blond body topped by a medium white head with good retention
In long: Nose is clean, freshly cut hay, light color yeasty fruit esters, some grassy hops. Taste has plenty of fresh cereals, fresh hay, a fruity flavor reminiscent of fruit salad and ends with a mild presence of grassy hops. This is a straightforward thirst blond lager, a beer for those who love the taste of freshness without bells and whistles, a slice of a german brewpub that travelled north. I didn’t try a bottle but the tap version at the brewpub sure deserves better than its current low ratings. A nice session beer, and I have spent enough time in pub-crawling in my lifetime to know I prefer session beers, and I have spent enough time sober in my lifetime to know I prefer drunk.

Fra fat på Cardinaltreff: har dette stått for lenge i kjelleren? Ufriskt, flatt og kjedelig. Det må ha vært noe feil på fatet. Må prøve det igjen ved neste anledning!
