0.5 L swing-top bottle, picked up @Ølhandleriet, Mathallen, Oslo. Pours an almost clear, bright brownish red body. A layer of beige fisheyes on top. Initial aroma of mild leafy and minty hops. Followed by vague notes of berries and toasted malts. Barely any carbonation. Slick mouthfeel. Light to medium full body. Clean flavors. Dry, light peppery, lightly toasted malt base. Just the right amount of minty, grassy/leafy and light resinous hops. Appears very well balanced. Could need some more carbonation (blame it on the swing-top). Otherwise, a highly drinkable and more than decent beverage.

Sample from bottle. Reddish beer, nice colour. Moderate off-white head. Decent hoppy aroma. The flavour has some fruit and berry sweetness, while the finish is a bit dull.

In short: A full bodied red beer of low abv offering nice fruitiness and nice citrusy and herbal hops. Superior session beer.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Almost clear dark red body topped by a small medium beige head with medium retention
In long: Nose is toasted fruit cake, dried berries and light notes of grassy/herbal hops Taste is surprising fruity with a nice fresh fruits sensation that includes wild berries, non-sour red cherries, cranberries, blueberries and more… All than wrapped in a thin layer of caramel and then the whole thing spread on a slice of toasted bakery quality bread. The taste ends with a moderately hoppy finish with citrusy and herbal hops creating a dry and slightly dry finish. This is a very good thirst beer that offers a surprisingly good complexity. Something about the whole thing felt original, something I rarely find in session amber ales. A good beer, and if the whole word would drink a pint of beer at the same, there would be world peace for 30 minutes, that’s something to ponder about.

50cl bottle from a trade with Arve_Christian. Pours deep amber with an off-white head. Malty aroma with fruit, berries, some wood and hints of caramel and roastiness. Medium body and quite lively carbonation. Dry and pleasantly bitter finish. Nice and flavourful!

Medium beige head. Slightly hazy deep red body. Fruity caramelly aroma with minty dusty wooden resiny notes. Dry-sweet fruity dusty wooden taste with grainy minty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry roasty fruity aftertaste with resiny orangey notes. Very clean and fruity. Vivid, too. Really outstandingly nice for a 4.7% beer. (0.5l bottle at Håndverkerstuene, Oslo.)

On tap, 100ml from a sample tray and then 250ml in a glass at Smaken av Sundbytunet. Unclear red-brown in body colour. Decent, beige head that laces well. Malt-fruity smell added by a touch of berries. Caramel malts in flavour thinned with red berries. Fine bittersweet tail. A beer that paired well with my elk steak (Jessheim, 08.05.2012).
