UPDATED: DEC 4, 2009 (draught at Libertine) pours very pale yellow but a nice lasting head. Nose is cardboard, plastic, corn, mustiness and spices. Taste is wet corn husks, wet cardboard, light toasted grains. While the beer itself isn’t fantastic, it is quite drinkable. A nice summer beer. Not sure why it is here in the dead of winter though :)

On tap at flying saucer. Pours a clear yellow golden with a small creamy white head that leaves decent spotty lacing. The aroma is a bready corn malt. Thin mouthfeel with a bready corn malt and a dry finish. Not too much goin on with this one.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of cardboard, malt, and citrus. The flavor is sweet with with notes of cardboard, malt, and citrus, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle (From notes) Light straw colour with little aroma. Head disappeared quickly. A little bit on malt on some floral hops on the nose. Flavours are much the same. Carbonation is moderate. An ok beer but not much happenin here.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow color with a small white head. Head recedes to a small film. very effervescent as lots of small bubbles race towards the surface and a few large bubbles meander upwards amongst them. Nose is a thick, heavy, burnt grain note with a small hint of straw and grass. Palate is fairly thick with a nice filmy feel and a carbonated, biting end. Flavors are grassy and the burnt grain note with a light sweetness mixed throughout. lovely.

Bottle: Pours a clear gold color with a light white head. The nose is toasty with some pale malt and light biscuit. The flavor is very malty; rich is toasty malts and light husky grains. Nearly no hops, but you can tell they’re there to balance. Finishes malty. Yummy.

My first kolsh beer. Light malt straw aroma with subtle spicy, grassy hops. Also can pick up some fruity esters, even some slight banana esters. Nice white frothy head with a medium to dark yellow color. Initial light sweet flavour with a slightly salty finish. Medium bodied with a dryish ale type texture.
