Bottle. Body-honey yellow with a thick ring of bubbles. Nose-clean, macroness, fresh hay, some grassy hops. Taste-medium CO2, unsweet honey, no sour or spoiled milk flavors that I have gotten with other kolschs, fresh wheat, crushed grain.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours a light straw yellow with white fizzy head. Aroma of some citrus, a nice light maltiness, some grain. Flavor of some faint citrus, some wheat malt. Mouth feel is light body with medium high carbonation. Overall, pretty good, tasty and refreshing....

DuffMan (7030) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - APR 20, 2009
Bottle. Clear bright golden yellow, generous frothy white head leaving early thick lace. Malty grainy aroma and flavour, a hint of fruit, but unfortunately some boxboard oxidation too, flattening the character somewhat.

Bottle: Pale golden pour with a white film of head. Very fresh aroma of a soft pils, lightly bready background- mildly sweet with grassy note- clean and dry. Very creamy and silky on the palate. Mild flavor- light doughy pale malt sweetness- bready, clean and mildly hopped. A solid yet simple Kolsch.

500ml bottle. Clear yellow beer with a small white head. Subtle aromas of lemons and floral hops. Sweet malt driven bready palate with a light bitterness to the finish. Light bodied and refreshing. Like all Kolsch beers it doesn’t hit you over the head with flavours but it makes a very nice sessionable beer for hot summer evenings.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2009 Very pale sunburnt straw hue with white head that instantly dissipates. Little carbonation and no sediment, resulting in a completely crystal clear appearance. Mmmm... very lager-y, with 1 dimensional grainy malt. Also the cardboard aroma that seems to be prevalent in beers that use hops extract. A slightly sweet white wine-like character is noticeable upon further inspection. Would have liked more fruit. Wow - taste is pretty damn refreshing. Sweet bready malt, with very short-lasting bitterness. Slight white wine. Very short duration. Look up ’delicate’ in the dictionary and there’ll be a picture of this beer there. Very light body, with low carbonation (would have expected more from a kolsch. Sooooooooo refreshing! Especially considering its 28deg C inside at the moment!

Pretty straight forward Kolsh here. Yellow with a small white head. Floral hop aroma. Fizzy, bitter start with a crisp and fruity finish. About as good as the style gets I suppose.

Dark yellow colored, cloudy appearance. Little white head. Fruity aroma with some grains and floral hoppy note. Thin to medium bodied, carbonated palate. Flavor is more grainy with mild fruits, aftertaste dries. Slightly watery and carbonated flavor, aroma is ok.
