Brewed in the long-brewing tradition Sünner after the German Purity Law of 1516. Spicy, aromatic taste, refreshing and wholesome. A product Kölscher real life.

On tap at a central bar in Köln seeing the brewery was closed. Clear pale gold pour with frothy white head. Aroma is very grainy, light worty aromas, not super clean, apple, grass. Taste is sweet, worty, light cidery notes. Smooth palate, light med body with light carbonation.

Pretty average brew. Aromas are almost nonexistent. Flavors are semi sweet grains and some metal. Goes down easy on a hot day... Finished it in about 5 minutes.

In bottle from BCLS; quite nice .. light in body and very easy drinking ... quite refreshing. Almost a little lemony with a but of spice. Overall, good and I good buy again (for summer drinking)

Location: Draft at Au Cheval, 6/10/14

Aroma: The nose of this beer has some bready malts and some citrus hops
Appearance: It pours a clear yellow-gold color with a thin, fizzy head and some average lace
Flavor: The taste is much the same, light bready, malty, and some decent hop notes
Palate: The body is light and fizzy, it has an okay drinkability and mouthfeel
Overall Impression: I thought this was a decent, but not great example of the style. Light and fizzy, with a solid flavor.

Sugar and honey dominate in this light, corn colored Kolsch. Sticks true to the German style. Refreshing and summery - absolutely a solid light option.

A 50 cl bottle. A pale amber ale with moderate white head. Faint nose of apples. Crisp, light, fruity and refreshing. A bit of background malt and just a trace of hop. Medium length fruity finish. A nice and easy warm weather refresher. 3.4.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2014 Pours golden with a medium-sized head. Aroma displays well the characteristics of a proper bottom fermented ale; it is grainy and malty but features also hoppier notes such as herbs. Taste is also malty; light sweet at first, later drier but not really bitter. Grain and bread feature most. The palate is medium bodied, fuller than regular pale lagers, and slick and smooth. This was simple but quite drinkable traditional German beer.

Translucent yellow with a quickly fading white head. Crisp with a nice bit of citrus, a little spice. Refreshing and nice for the style.
