COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
Highly quaffable at 3.7%, it has a brilliant straw blonde appearance.
Its tantalising tropical aroma of mangoes, grapefruit and lychees come from our unique blend of New Zealand, Australian and West Coast American hops. The upfront bitterness gently yields to a light malt body provided by barley that is sourced solely from farms around the brewery.
Malt: Low Colour Pale Malt
Hops: Cascade, Mount Hood, Styrian, Beata, Calypso and Pacific Jade

Handpull at Southwark Tavern. Pale clear bright light gold, smallosh but lasting and lacy white mottled head. Dry grassy aroma, a little gluten and lemon, no alc. Taste follows, but oddly scorched and harsh. Oddly tgick mouthfeel, light carbonation, longish marigold finish, the initial harshness isnt there after it settles for a minute or two. Dry, too thick to be properly refreshing. Okay.

Draught at The Rover, Göteborg, on May 7, 2013.
Hazy pale golden color, dense white head. Citrus, hoppy, herbal taste. Herbal aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness. Citrus, hoppy, herbal, spicy scent, also gauze. When thinking about the scent I couldn’t place reminds me after a while as a mix of dry wall and black currant leaves.
Not bad, especially glad to find a lower ABV beer, but not the beer I wanted for that evening at least. I’d like it with another yeast and likely some other hops, as well as sweeter with a malt residue and perhaps some caramel notes.

Draught (Black Door, Helsinki)
lovely english bitter aroma - nice dry spicy hops, and dry dry dry husky graininess. Looks like a middle of the road UK bitter. Alas it’s mashier in the taste, I’d even say it’s crystal malts. Bitterness cmes over as almost acrid in that contaxt. I guess there are fertilised female hops in this it’s so acrid. I nearly liked it, but it had too many flaws.

Pours gold with a fading head. Restrained aroma, bready wheat, soft spicy hops, cereal-like malt, soft vegetables. Restrained flavours too; cereal grains, spicy hops, some stale notes. Carbonation could be higher.

Maybe I am drinking this at the wrong time of year? A more and more popular style of light blonde/gold beer. Very gentle flavours. Vague pineapple bubblegum? Some wash of hops. Will try this again in the sunshine.

Tasted on tap @York Tap, York on 01/11/2012. Pours of super hazy, pale yellow color with a proper white head. Aroma is faint, mostly herbal&spicy, slightly zesty. Mouthfeel is high carbonated, medium bodied. Taste begins with wheat notes, following by a wave of citrus fruits and spices. Aftertaste is long, mostly zesty and quite bitter. A very refreshing beer, recommended. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
