3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask pint in the Lyric. Colour is chestnut brown to amber with a medium white foam cask beer head. Nose is fruity, soft ripe fruit, Vimto, grain malt, tropical fruit, mango and orange. taste is really soft ripe mushy tropical and citrous fruit with some musty grain and slightly fermented fruit. It’s quite sweet and thick on the taste. Not entirely sure about it.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
330ml bottle. Clear amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Cautious citrusy and slightly soapy hop aroma, hints of orange zest, a touch of overripe tropical fruit, juniper, some biscuit. Taste is bitter hoppy, more herbal than fruity, some juniper. Monotonous, no kick from the (rarely aromatic) hops - bad and boring IPA.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours out of the bottle in a amber colour with low head and medium body. Nice aroma of hops and nuts. Taste of fresh but mild hops, nuts, pepper, herbs, oranges and thyme. Light body and light texture but nice anyway. Easy drink- and enjoyable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared with McTapps. Well, a bit watery and thun, but quite good work. Some hops mixed up with straw, hay and even sweetish caramel. Crazily deep with that low abv.

Bottle. Pours clear dark golden with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, biscuity malt, light weedy and citrus hops. Flavour is light moderate sweet and light bitter. Missing any real hop character. Light bodied with light carbonation.

Great name. Looks fine. Fairly ok aroma but the taste is too hoppy for my personal taste.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle @ cbsc golden colour, no head. Very sweet orange nose, and a quite hoppy start but not as strong as the name suggests. It quickly flattens out in a very stale old nothing... Awful

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
For a beer called hop dog this was a little restrained. Well made with nice balance and initial hoppy attack, however faded a little in the glass. It had good thirst quenching qualities, but somehow just didn’t press the excite button

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUN 25, 2014 Aroma: strong malts. Appearance: light golden. Taste: slightly bitter. Palate: flat, light carbonation. Overall: too malty for my taste. Bottle at the Craft Beer Social Club, London.
Aroma: strong malts, hay, caramel, cereals. Appearance: light golden. Taste: slightly bitter. Palate: malty again, yet quite light, light sweetness, then bitters, flat, light carbonation. Overall: much nicer from tap than from bottle. Pint at Bath Brew House, Bath.
