2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
330ml bottle bought from Wanstead Tap at Wanstead Farmerís Market. A heavy, toffee aroma that follows through into the taste. Also getting some caramel and almost liquorice flavour. Hoppy but not excessively so. Astringent.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
v284 c5 Keg at the Alehouse, Reading. Pours a dull light amber with a thin white head. Brown bread and pine up front, with lemon and earthiness following. The hoppiness and bitterness of a modern IPA is there but itís muted, and it lacks the clean finish. Itís pleasant enough and easy to drink, but itís rather dull and unmemorable and itís not really an IPA.
