4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: SEP 20, 2012 Cask @ "The Wharf", Denmark.
Brilliant clear with a white head. The nose is dominated by british hops and a hint of caramel maltyness. Colour is copper to dark amber. Flavor is a strong almost american pale ale hoppyness with a dry finish. Malt is hardly present. Mouthfeel is light to medium. Very drinkerble pint.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask; gold, clear, thin white head; tropical fruit aroma; tastes smooth, some soft citrus - lemon, lime; moderate bitterness; prickly hops; this was a grower: a third of a pint in and I’d written it off as one-dimensional with a ’challenging’ hoppiness, but it opened out into something supple, mellifluous and moreish; more good, interesting stuff from an ever dependable brewery.

On tap Euston Tap. Hazy orange gold thin white head. Tasty hoppy ipa. Hops are piney grapefruit. Likeable. Would be better on cask

Cask-conditioned at the Dorset & Wiltshire beeriodical, the Seven Stars, Bristol 9/1/2013. Orange with a slight, off-white head. Big, citrus fruit, pine and bready malt aroma. Flavour was sweet, with some caramel, marmalade, strawberries and pine, ending with a lingering, dry finish. Very good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught @ BA Folkis. Not the fruitiest of IPAs nor the sweetest and not even very bitter. Some unusual hop notes here... white grapes, melon, red orange. Crisp. A bit dry. Medium, short lasting, bitterness.

Cask conditioned handpump Market Porter London 11/09/13. A copper coloured beer with a white bubbly head. A very nice beer with good citrus and tropiacl fruit hoppiness throughout. The malts do edge towards sweetness which is a bit of a shame. But it’s still well constructed and tasty. Very enjoyable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
For a beer called hop dog this was a little restrained. Well made with nice balance and initial hoppy attack, however faded a little in the glass. It had good thirst quenching qualities, but somehow just didn’t press the excite button

Draught. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grass, fruits, herbs, bready and some crystal malty notes. Flavour is fruity, nectary, some honey as well as mild wooden and resiny notes. Pleasantly balanced and quite smooth to drink.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask. Golden copper colour with small head, aroma not overpowering but taste is full on dry hoppy citrus with a medium bitter finish. Pleasant to drink and refreshing on the palate. Good IPA.
