I can see why they call it rich malt, for being an asian lager, it is fairly sweet and malty. Pours very standard clear golden, maybe a couple shades darker than normal. Nose has more sweetness, caramel to it. Taste is slightly sweet, grassy hops, enjoyable, but nothing to write home about.

Can, Kin Mugi means "Golden Barley". Clear golden colour, medoum fairly well lasting white head. Mild malty aroma with grassy hops. Ok mouthfeel. The flavour is mild with some bitter hops, light sweetness and some maltiness. Dry finish.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 omhper (17478) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 11, 2009
UPDATED: FEB 10, 2009 Canned (Rich Malt). Clear golden, average sized head. Through the gaping holes in the thin elegant vanilla curtain foul boiled vegetables and composy odor seeps in. Mid sweet with fruit and stal butter increasing in strength. Clean, streamlined mouthfeel where stale butter heads the parade.
1.2 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 Dredd (638) - Bentleigh, AUSTRALIA - JAN 22, 2008
This is a Happoshu folks, so it is always going to be similar to other macros. Faint thin fizzy head, large bubbles, cardboard nose, corn flavours. at half the price of other Japanese beers though, you can see why it does sell.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 BückDich (5467) - McCall, Idaho, USA - SEP 20, 2007
Can: Pours a pale gold color, huge bubbles and no head, I don’t know if these Japanese know what head retention is. The nose is a bit corny with some , light malt notes, metallic and grassy. The flavor is a bit ricey, thin, adjuncts, not that great. Thin processed pale lager.
1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Capa (1905) - Manama, BAHRAIN - JUL 30, 2007
Second of tonight’s macro purchase. Clear yellow with a puffy head. Aroma is metallic, grain, rubber, and some sweetness. Non-offensive flavor. Bread and a bit sweet. Thin, smooth body. It’s a macro, but it’s not horrible it’s just not good.
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 steview (1011) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUN 23, 2007
faint, eggy, with a bit of pee;
big, white head;
dead, translucent straw body;
smooth, a bit oily, with low carbonation--
the likely trick to make this a "mild" beer;
tap water, with hints of other ingredients;
still figuring out the "rich" part...
