0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Shared a tallboy can, blue with the English title "Rich Malt", thanks Carter for bringing it back for us to taste. Poured a clear yellow colour with weak white foam into a tulip glass. Watery but with the faintest graininess and hops resin. Pretty rough, especially as it warmed, but better overall than Yanjing Distinctive. Unpleasant oily aftertaste.

Watery, very slight dry maltiness. I’m not digging this. Tastes like a really cheap. Thanks Carter.

Cold piss smell... Overly sweet malt, then some dirty straw, unpleasant sour-sweet finish. A hangover superstar, not my cup of tea nor my pint of beer...

Sip from my mate’s. Thin and watery, with a bit of maltiness but not really, and some chemical tastes. Not much body to speak of. Maybe a touch of hops. Gross.

Kin Mugi has been a great success in Japan in terms of overall sales since it’s release. I find it a nice autumn/winter low malt standard. Good hop delivery and nice appearance when mugged. The head is short lived as with all low malt beers.
Not so good in the summer...has a bit of heaviness, in flavors and dryness. A great week end beer very affordable for autumn / winter.

Can@Home. Pale grainy unappealing lager. Almost no head, disappearing quickly. Drain pour.

Can. Pours a clear pale yellow, very bubbly. Yeasty aroma, with malt. Taste is very sharp, of bready yeast, malt, grass. Lingering sharpness. Drinkable, but that’s it.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Can. Typical pissy happoshu spirits nose. Gold color with weird slow bubbles rising, as if through olive oil. Harsh chemi-grass initial; mid palate adds very little; final is a thin coating of blah... Thin-medium body, with some sharp gassy tongue bites. Pretty bad. Why do I keep trying these lousy excuses for beer? It’s not as if any are good; just that some are less worse than others.
