L: pours a pale gold with some carbonation bubbles, and a pillowy white head. S: a crackery biscuit mustiness, hints of white wine grape. T: follows the nose, a tad stale adjunct though, cereal, grain, reasonably nice. F: itís light and clean to drink, lingering flavour of malt to counter the dry finish. Could be livelier in the feel. O: I can always down one of these when there are no craft offerings at hand. Simple and quenching.

(can) clear pale yellow colour with a tall, white head; aroma starts with noble hops, then cake; balanced, simple and unremarkable flavour with a medium long, light bitter finish

Pour from can, the liquid is amber gold in color and lively. Smells floral. Tastes lightly sweet and somewhat bitter. The finish is also somewhat bitter and long for a lager. Itís a good lager albeit pricey.

Chilled and into a tulip. Strangely misty with a lot of protein caught in suspension. Big, pillowy white head tops a yellow gold body. Low to almost no aroma. Faint starch, boiled rice, lemon peel, spent grain and straw dust. Sweet, slightly milky lactose sweet with a thin body and soft carbonation. Soft lemon tang after a hit of palest malt upfront. Low to no hops and nil for bitterness. Finishes crisp and relatively clean with no aftertaste. Hmmm, a beer thatís like water. Suntory style. Think I liked their Draft 9į more than this, but then this was actually refreshing! (50cL, BBE 12/15, The Bottlío, East Vic. Park)

Salaryman beer. No special skill-set at all, it just shows up and works overtime for no reason...just so it doesnít have to go home. Average beer but better than all of the other macros in Japan. Depressingly good I guess.
