2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Brown bottle in Hong Kong (334mls) as "The Premium Malts Suntory Pilsner Beer" (5.5% ABV). A golden beer with a small short lasting lasting white head. Nose of sweet golden malts and little else. Flavours are similar with a light hop presence. Reminds me of Crown Lager in Australia sold as a "premium lager" in a similarly shaped bottle.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
500ml Can. Pours yellow-gold with a thick white head, that quickly dissapears. Smells cheesy yeast, with some caramel malts. Tastes lively with strong cheesy yeast, some citrus hops and a small amount of caramel malt. Altogether not a bad lager.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle - Pale yellow gold with a thick creamy lacy head. Smells of citrus hops, fruit and sweet malt with some lemon grass. Grainy dense medium body. Taste of malt and a light fruitness with a bitter dry hop aftertaste. Nice balance with a decent amount of malt. Though this is one of the best of the mega produced beers its still not that wonderful.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
(on tap) Clear golden with good head. Pleasant aroma. Nice mouthfeel, light body but not watery, with nice carbonation. The flavour is slightly disorienting. It has some decent matliness and it has some nice hoppiness and there is some bitterness in the finish, but it somehow doesn’t seem quite right, as though the separate parts of the flavour have been isolated, tweaked and then put back together. Overall this is definitely drinkable, and compares well with mainstream beers in the region, but is somehow a little odd.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Why anyone would make a song and dance about this beer is a bit of a mystery. Just pale and samey-samey malts and aromas as just about every Euro-like lager out there. Just unremarkable all over.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours like a pale lager. Smells and flavors consist of some floral hops and caramel malt. Light bodied with a slightly bitter finish. Overall not too bad, I’d drink it again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle at home from the local offie. Pale blond colour, very clear, white bubbly head soon fades. Aroma is light caramel, grassy, citrus hops, and wheat. Taste is slightly sweet, some bitterness, nice and malty. Nice and crisp. For some reason I have had a soft spot for this for quite a few years now. Can’t really explain why, but it is one of the better macro lagers.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can in the CBD Melbourne. Malty and well-bodied pale lager. Aromas of wet leaves and hay. Taste is sweet, with average length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Yellow, with disappearing head.
