A 100% malt beer and rather expensive.Thatís due to Japanís taxing of Barley malt! Donít get me started on this insane issue!! This beer is known for itís smooth rich taste and yes it does taste good. A very light hop delivery and a head that is sadly very short lived maybe worse than some low malt competitors. Some taverns offer a discount with a purchase of a pitcher. I give it a thumbs up on taste alone...but not real exciting.

Sample 50 ml. Clear deep amber, light beige head. Rich caramel - quite pleasant, not sugary, a hint of alcohol and light grassy bitterness. Surprisingly good.

Pours a pale, clear, gold with a white head that lasts longer than expected but dissipates to a thin ring without too much fuss. Clean pilsner malt aromas, accented by a faint spicy hop note. Flavours are light and of pilsner malt. Thereís a carbonic acidity in the late palate and a bitter finish. Light body and a touch of astringency.

Bottle@Yesprs - Golden pour with white head. Aroma and taste is light toasty and sweet malty, with some corn sweetness, some metallic notes, pretty watery and low carb, not allot going on here.

Draught. Pale gold with a white head that lasts OK. Aroma of plain bread, light spices. Taste is not going to knock any socks off. Sweet but clean light bready malt, some floral and spicy notes at the slightly bitter finish. Dull but fine (apart from the apostrophe).

L: pours a pale gold with some carbonation bubbles, and a pillowy white head. S: a crackery biscuit mustiness, hints of white wine grape. T: follows the nose, a tad stale adjunct though, cereal, grain, reasonably nice. F: itís light and clean to drink, lingering flavour of malt to counter the dry finish. Could be livelier in the feel. O: I can always down one of these when there are no craft offerings at hand. Simple and quenching.
