Draught at Harry’s, Jyväskylä. Black color. Very roasty aroma and flavor with charcoal, coffee, black currant and burnt bitterness. Medium to full body. Very uncompromising, a bit too burnt for my taste.

Darker than cola brown with a thin mocha head. Coffee and sweetness in the aroma. No bitterness in the beginning, some in the after taste though. Not too much roastiness. Lacks character. Not too bad bt not an exciting stout.

On tap @ Harry’s Pours pitch black with medium brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, liquorice, some coffee. Flavor is roasted malts, sweetish dark sugar, coffee. Long lasting after taste. Decent beer

Draught @ SOPP Helsinki 2012, Finland.

Dark black brown colour with a beige to light brown head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, coffee, cold coffee, sweet thin roasted malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, sewer, roasted, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120726]

Deep black with thick off-white head. Smells roasted malty, caramelly with some coffee. Starts with massive burnt roasted malts and some bitter hops. Carbonation is very flat. The middle part has also lots of burnt malts and some bitter coffee notes. Finish is long roasty, with lots of bitter coffee.

Draught. Black with brown head. Roasted malts, roasted coffee, oak/wood. Palate is quite dry and bitter. Medium body, but rather soft with nice almost-creamy carbonation. Finish is a bit harsh. Green hops, ash, roasted malts. Finally leaves you with a chocolately glow in your mouth.

Draught @ Syystober 2012. Pours black with a medium, mocha head. Aroma is roast and coffee pretty much. Poured very cold so the taste is just strong roast and coffee in the beginning with slight liquorice. As it warms up, some other flavors come up: Some unpleasant wooden notes on the finish. Some hoppy pine and grapefruit in the beginning. Something off with the combination of hop and malt profile in this. Palate is quite light.

Draught@SOPP Helsinki 2012. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, mild ashes, some dark berries as well as mild ripe fruityness. Flavour is bigtime ashes, smoked wet wood, some toffee as well as some wood and mild liquorice.

100812. Tap at Nordic, Tampere. Pours black with a medium high brown head. Aroma nuts, coffee, roasted malts. Light bodied. Thin But Not Bad.

Draught at Gastrropub Nordic
Aroma is floury and a bit light with roasted notes and hints of vegetables. Flavour is slightly sour has well roasted malt, licorice, some hops, cocoa and hints of vegetables. Smooth palate. Feels slightly watery. Decent.
