Unclear golden-yellow colour. Foamy white head. Aroma is hoppy. Flavour has caramel malts, spices and a hoppy dryness.

Bottle, 7.5%. Very clovey aroma, nice enough. Clear golden colour, OK white head. Very high carbonation. The flavour is also quite clovey, slightly sweet with an underlying roughness. All in all not bad, though.

Bottle: Poured a slightly cloudy blonde color ale with a big pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of spicy yeast with medium sweet malt base. Taste is a mix between some spicy peppery yeast with some notes of light funk. Full body with some great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I really enjoy those Belgian golden ales when they are well done with some complexity but also a great refreshing factor.

750ml bottle, yellow gold color, with a frothy white head, leaving laces, subtle bubblegum yeastiness, with a fruity nose of ripe apples, lemons, grapefruits, pineapples, with some honeyed pale malts, a nice floral hop citrus accent, with a note of spicy vanilla and subtle coriander in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, spritzy, lemony, pinneapple character, with a some sweet honeyed pale malts, with some candied grapefruit peels, with a hint of vanilla, a subtle flowery hop, within a mellow mouthfeel, in a good carbonation, leading towards a sweet, fruity, citrusy, hop bitterness finish.

The pour reveals a clear golden color with a thick, diminishing, bubbly, white head. Aroma of coriander with sweetness and fruits. Good flavor of honey, fruits, coriander, cereals and mild yeast. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and lively carbonation. Interesting.

In short: Nice sweet Belgian blonde ale with a wild/Saison twist
How: 750ml bottle, private importation, drank 2 months after receiving it.
The look: Clear yellow blonde body with a medium white head
In long: Lots of honey, lots of sweet cereals, lots of pears, quite a bit of coriander and a very nice lively/cobweb yeast profile. I’m normally very bored by that type of sweet Belgian blonde ale but that yeast profile really saved the day for me. It fot A LOT BETTER as it warmed-up. I had to come back at the end of my bottle for a re-rate. Let it warm up and the wild-ish yeast will charm you. Alcohol is apparent even at only 7.5%. A stronger hops presence would have provided a more balanced dryer experience. Very active carbonation. Juicy body. Above Average Blonde des Fagnes Blonde.
