Bottle bought anywhere near Rochefort, Province Namur and shared with McTapps. A perfect example for a belgian ale. Thick, creamy, bit sweetish, big carbo and head. Fluffy, very easy to drink with some peaches and hops in the aroma. Classic one.

Big bottle. Cloudy amber colour with low creamy head and smooth body. Nose of hops and spices. Taste of fresh, aromatic hops, coriander seeds, curry leaves, light malt and pepper. Easy and nice to drink, it almost feels like cream - in taste AND texture. Enjoyed it a lot.

Bought in Belgium and drunk in Ireland. Nice cloudy blonde - pale amber in colour. Light head , disappears quickly, but is not missed. Spicy. Sweet - like bonbons! Very attractive glass.medium sweetness, long finish, I would certainly drink it again.

Aroma is one of beer’s most complex features. Aroma is propelled by lively CO2 and dampened by pillowy heads - especially nitrogen foam. Click on a term below to add it to your tasting notes.

16/III/13 - 33cl bottle @ Taverne le Picotin (Chimay) - BB: n/a (2013-244) Thanks to Akke for sharing the beer!

Clear blond beer, creamy off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: pretty spicy, cloves, some coriander, bit dusty, little fruity, yeasty. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sourish in the start, grassy hops, grains, malty, particular yeasty character, spices, some liquorish. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, pretty spicy, coriander, some orange peel, hay, yeast. A bit like a Tripel Karmeliet.

Bottled 0.25L tasted at 101 Beers. Mild lemoney and spicy nose. Pale large head. Clear golden color. More than average carbonation. Soft taste with lemon notes. At the end hoppiness.

Tasty! Smooth yet snappy belgian ale. This brewery is not far from Chimay, and I need to stop by next time I’m in Belgium. Thick, creamy head and fine active carbonation keep the head alive. Aroma is faint, but taste is right up front with hay, hops and a little licorice. Alcohol is barely noticeable.

75cl bottle from webshop Belgian Beer Shop. This beer has an off white head that disappears quickly. A nice clear bright golden colour with little carbonation. The smell is very typical for a Belgian style blond: yeast and malts with a fruity fresh touch. The taste is malty with not much bitterness. Bitter sweet finish. Good thirst quencher. Nice.
