5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 FDias (3) - FRANCE - MAY 2, 2013 does not count
Aroma is one of beer’s most complex features. Aroma is propelled by lively CO2 and dampened by pillowy heads - especially nitrogen foam. Click on a term below to add it to your tasting notes.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Ernest (5627) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 20, 2002
Head is initially huge, frothy, rocky, white, mostly lasting. Body is
hazy medium yellow, dense tiny particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is
moderately hoppy (flowers, citrus - lemon), moderately malty (cookie,
toasted light bread), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of coriander,
orange, clove, pineapple, honey, pepper. Flavor is moderately sweet,
lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Finish is moderately bitter, lightly
acidic. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, lightly
astringent. Whoa, mama...this is a find! Wonderful fresh/bright/lively
aroma complete with spices, fruits, and flowers, with a surprisingly
assertive malt character...superb flavor balance...nearly undetectable
alcohol (until you stand up)...sexy appearance and great mouthfeel. This
has it all. A new entry among my favorite Belgian blonde ales.
Stunning.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 clutchrogers (90) - Broussard, Louisiana, USA - JAN 18, 2004
I had this beer at the village of Chimey, at Au Vieux Chimey. The aromas were of hops, floral and yeasty notes. The head was dense and the beer was the color of polished bronze. The flavor was dry with a medium bitterness and flavors of vanilla, bread and a slight nutty maltiness. Overall this is a satifying beer, full flavored with enough hop bitterness to be a thirst quencher.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Jerre (2228) - Waregem, BELGIUM - SEP 7, 2006
Blond beer with a big white head. Drink this meany times by the neighbour G. Yeast flakes floating around. Yeast, fruit and spice aroma. Medium bitter spicy taste. Very nicely balanced.
Yes is ’t good.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Grzesiek79 (2357) - Radom, POLAND - JUN 29, 2012
Bardzo smaczne drożdżowe piwo o mętnym zabarwieniu. Bardzo harakterystyczny smak dla tego typu piw belgijskich. Aromat kolendry unosi się nad pianą, która jest trwała. Przyjemny smak bez dominacji alkocholu
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 stevoj (923) - Ramstein-Miesenbach, GERMANY - DEC 8, 2012
Tasty! Smooth yet snappy belgian ale. This brewery is not far from Chimay, and I need to stop by next time I’m in Belgium. Thick, creamy head and fine active carbonation keep the head alive. Aroma is faint, but taste is right up front with hay, hops and a little licorice. Alcohol is barely noticeable.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 fiulijn (12179) - Malmö, DENMARK - AUG 1, 2002
UPDATED: JUL 24, 2011 2011-01-29, corked bottle, bb 20 09 02, vintage 2001, 9 years old, 6-4-6-3-12=31 Beautiful golden color; creamy head. The aroma shows signs of age. The body structure is good, the flavor is quite sweet, smooth, with some stale signs of age. It doesn’t feel like 10 years old, but still it’s going downhill.
2002-08-01, 8-5-8-4-16=41 Gold colour, giant rocky head, a real Belgian lace. Strong hop aroma, old flowers, a little spicy. Good body, elegant waves of sweetness and dryness, malt and hop, coriander. Dry and bitter finish, with good dry hop.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 SteC (130) - Oostende, BELGIUM - NOV 15, 2003
This beer is a blond with a fenomenal head, wich was about the first thing I mentioned when drinking this blonde. The aroma is interesting, and quite complex, luckily it made my high expectations come out when i drankit. It has a lovely fruity taste and some bitterness.
A well balanced beer you should try when you can get your hands on it.
