Panzerfaust (377), Santiago, Chile Apr 15, 2007 Bottled at Sicosis Pours a hazy and luminous golden color with a big white creamy head that never dissapears.
Aroma is very nice, fruity and enticing with notes of apples, pears, berrie marmelade, rosehip, sweet citrus and subtle spices.Very charming.
Flavor is sweet, spicy, rather complex and layered. Watermelon, passionfruit, pineapple, sweet oranges and honey touches. Very nice.
Body is light to medium, the alcohol is unnoticeable. Soft carbonation. It ends with a long lasting sweet finish. Fine aftertaste. A mild but classy Belgian Ale.
shrubber85 (2584), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Sep 12, 2008 Bottle. Sweet apple, coriander, licorice and malt aroma. Pale yellow color with small head. Sweet lemon and coriander flavor. Nice body. High acidity. Reminds me most of a strong witbier because of the coriander. Nice though. Borresteijn (582), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 21, 2008 Bottle in La Roche, Belgium. Dark golden, big white head. Fruity aroma, malts, spices. Flavour is soft and sweet, liquorice, a bit malty, and spicy. Highly drinkable and very enjoyable. BoBoChamp (720), Gent, Belgium Jul 26, 2008 25cl, from Geers Oostakker, complex, yet easy to drink, clear, good head, good brew rickgordon (3073), Göteborg, Sweden Jul 13, 2008 Bottled.
Deep golden colour with rich, rocky head. Sweet, malty, almondy, spicy aroma - very fresh pale malty feel to it. There are notable spices in flavour with a malty, fresh backbone, with a bit of almondy glue that I find nice. This is a great beer, very reminiscent of a tripel. bhensonb (3004), Woodland, California, USA May 28, 2008 Bottle at Cambrinus in Brugge. Spicey tripel aroma. Dark gold color with a non-lacing white head. Medium body with very creamy carbonation. Slightly sweet. Slightly bitter. Subtle. Finishes arguably dry, and bitter and mild spice linger on. Try this one on a chardonnay drinker.
