750ml bottle, thanks to cathshlag. The bottle was about 2 years old so I may have experienced something different than most other reviewers. Brown color with a generous head. Heavy malt caramel taste along with a strange brown rum alcohol flavour. Syrupy and a bit too much caramel sweet. Like my cousin Louis, intriguing but not interesting.

Bottled: Burgundy coloured. Quite clear. Huge light brown fluffy head. Fruits, vague yeast, spices, caramel and overall dark notes in the aroma. Flavour as well is on the dark side. Distinct liqourice, light roast, fruit and some raisins. Has light alcohol notes. Ends on a light roasted sugary note.

Bottled (BB 07/2006)
Ruby brown color, good brown creamy head. Coffee, fruity, alcoholic aroma. Medium to full bodied. Roasted with rye and berry flavors, a bit licorice and saltyness. Long roasted flavor. Typical brune: not more or not less.
