Superb off-white head, foamy lacing covers the glass sides. Lightly hazy bronze hue. A bit grainy nose, not quite as expressing as I’d hoped with bits of chocolate chunk notes as well as herbal mellowed hops and unlively yeast. Woody palate, earthy and highly floral. Now this feels a bit more farmhouse like. The bready yeast feels a bit dirty though. Fruity esters abund as it warms (grapes, blackbierries), yet it finishes very dry. Clean beer, medium body, strong carbonation. Not bad.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Malty rich sweet aroma, Belgian yeast, neutral fruits, some raisin. Dark brown red hazy with light tan lacing head. Medium-heavy body with medium carbonation. Starts sweet and malty, with light chocolate and toffee. No acidity. Segways into some light smooth bitterness that complements the sweetness. After is nutty dryness with toffee. Alcohol taste and some warming, too. A nice dubbel.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Brambleberries, malt and chewing gum in aroma. Reddish colour with a creamy head. Rather sour and metallic. Strange and unpleasant flavour and aftertaste.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy amber colored body, off-white head that dies fast. Unripe fruity and malty aroma with some sourness. Yeast, malt, pepper and raisins in the flavor. Quite sharp and biding but with a thin end.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Dark brown; slim brown head, some lace. Nose as of soaked-up rainwater, roasted malt, tinge of chocolate. Some brown sugar, and probably a bit diacetyl, as I'm getting something buttery. Sweet taste, bit nutty. Nothing else. Medium-bodied, fizzy. Malts fill in the mouthfeel, sugar thins it, taste is empty. Boring as hell. Bottled - so the beer is more than probably from Du Bocq. It fits.

Tasty, sweet (but not overly so) and a pleasure in the mouth. Discovered this one lately and am enjoying it immensely. The 7.5% alc is not overbearing. I'd call it a tasty everyday winter brew.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Darker head than the Blonde, less intense aroma, more malt in the mouth, not as impressed but still a good beer
