3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, raisins, prunes, crisp-bread, brown sugar and hints of chocolate. Malty, fruity taste with notes of raisins, prunes, dark bread, brown sugar, liquorice and a mild spicy bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Hardly exceptional, but solid and well made. Quite nice.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle: Deep reddish-amber coloured, clear, small off-white foamy layer, sweetish caramelly-toasty nose with a fruity tinge; moderate sweet flavour, sticky MF; lingering sweet toasty-fruity finish with a slight bitter touch in the aftertaste. Too one-dimensional…

750 ml bottle. From bierzwerg.de.
Clear darkish brown colour with small off-white head.
Dark malt, some sweet caramel, bread, dark fruits and fresh sweet fruitiness in aroma.
Flavour: Quite nice balance between sweetish caramel, darkish malt and mild fruity bitterness.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
250 ml bottle picked up in Belguim and taked back to Germany. Pours a dark ruby brown color with a soft thick tan head. A nice looking beer that goes down hill fast after that. Aroma is sweet candy, malt and caramel. Taste is burnt cough syrup, malt and wood. Palate is mild but offensive. Not enjoyable for me. Borders on something for an Ex-wife.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap at the brewpub. It poured a clear dark brown liquid with a pale brown head. Fairly mild smell with some caramell malts. Similar taste but with a strong metallic flavour. Slightly harsh mouthfeel with a high amount of carbonation. Unfortunately the metal ruins this beer for me.
