Nice pink color with light pink head. Sweet, kind of artificial cherry aroma. Taste starts with artificial cherry sweetness and gets worse with some weird, stale note. Pretty light body with good carbonation. Not really my type, wouldn’t buy it again.

Top fermented cherry beer made with cherry coulis and extracts. Off-pink, thick, moussy head, bright ruby red colour, clear. Aroma dominated by a full, ’heavy’, sweet cherry smell (strong impression of candied cherries, as used in pastry and the like) but also rubbery and plastic-like solvents, DMS (cooked vegetable), mushrooms, honey, lemon. Fruity, slick palate, getting more sweet in the middle, sugary and cloying with light sourish touch, virtually no discernible hops, one-sided; and worst of all, the sugary sweetness sticks in the throat. Not for me.

From a shop in Brugge. Deep red in colour, aroma is of apple, some artificial cherry. Taste is a slightly bitter cherry with a pretty watery sour flavour. Fairly poor.

Happily shared draught at source, on a bustling 01V2014 du travail à Mariembourg. Grenadine nose on a thick Blanche body, artificial spices and sweeteners abounding: hello Wallonian sister of Huyghe, meet my aunt. We personally shall not meet again.

250ml bottle. Cloudy, dark amber colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, pinkish off-white head. Sweetish fruity aroma, notes of morello cherry with a slightly artificial touch. Taste is sweet-and-sour fruity, morello cherry again, sweetness predominates on the whole. Resemblance to fruit gums, therefore hints of artificiality, but overall passably balanced and not that sweet as many others of this category.

Ambrée orangée claire, effervescence moyenne, mousse rosâtre. Griottes bien présentes, notes herbacées, trop sucrée, goût de bonbons gommes, un rien métallique. Mouais...

25cl bottle. Beautiful red with grey head. Nose : strong cherry, tart, nail polish. Sip : low density, good carbonation. Candy like sweet, cloying sweet. Fruit and tart. It leaves sweet. Sweet overall.

25 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Carrefour. BBF 27/09/2014. Pours a paler ruby amber with a vanishing off-white head. Nose is incredible this basically smells exactly like a bag of cherry – and some other flavours – gelatine candy. That is pretty incredible to be honest my impression fluctuates between that of pure childlike amazement and that of being slightly grossed out. Taste however sadly doesn’t live up to the promise, the gelatine candy is still there but way too weak, lots of sugar water is dissolving the flavour, faint malts and jelly beans, touch iron, hint herbs, watery artificial sweeteners finish. Overall a bit watery. Almost a minor embarrassment by even these sweetened candy beers, to bad that it started out promisingly.
