COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Medium-sweet Riesling mead, made with fresh Michigan pears, raw Michigan wildflower honey. The fermented pear is a wonderful compliment to the late harvest Riesling profile. Crisp. Clean. Unique.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2014 Bottle: Straw-tinted translucent color with no head. Aroma is sweet honey, light pear fruit and a touch of sweet white grape skins. Taste is pretty sweet; honeycomb, light pear and some more white grape. Little boozy but the sweetness gives decent balance. It’s alright, not great but not bad.

Pours a clear pale yellow. Aroma is full on honey, rich and sweet. Flavor is very nice. A sweet mead for sure. Loads of Honey with mild pear. Hints of apple and a bit white wine like. Medium in body and sweet,

Bottle. Pours a clear mellow/pale yellow with no head whatsoever. Aroma has a combination of sweet honey and pear with a touch of dryness. Flavor starts with sweet honey and is joined by a bit of pear.

Strongest on the nose is the white wine grapes, followed by a little honey. It is very light in colour, not even quite straw colour. The taste is sweet honey, with maybe just a hint of pear poking through, finishing with the Riesling wine. It is a little more full bodied than I would expect, similar to a dessert wine. Overall enjoyable to drink.

Not too sweet. The pear flavor doesn’t mix particularly well with the honey.
