Bottle courtesy of Max at Clockwork’s 10k tasting in April 2015. Pours a clear golden yellow with light bubbles. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of honey, vanilla, light hints of maple, maybe some oak and a touch of bourbon in the finish.

Pour on tap at the meadery, clear orange pour with no head, still pour, aroma brought notes of big bourbon, whiskey, honey, hints of nice maple, booze into some vanilla slight coconut, in there as well. Taste was a mix of coconut, honey, floral notes into nice bourbon, oak, more sweet maple into a bit of vanilla, finishing sweet. This was my favorite.

Batch 1202, bottle 40/75. Pours a pale golden color. Almost no head. Taste is honey sweetness, followed by vanilla, and finishing with maple syrup. ABV of 13.5% is well hidden by the sweetness.

Bottle. Light yellow colour, still with no head. Aroma is sweet honey, oak, maple and vanilla. Taste is light honey sweetness, followed by maple glaze, finishes clean with a sweet honey aftertaste, leaves no hint of heat from the ABV, medium bodied. Really tasty, sweet but not cloying, I could drink a lot of this.

Batch 1 from 2013; mail-order from Superstition Meadery. Maple, maple, and more maple. Gold, ever so slightly murky in color; aroma is maple -- opening the bottle brought my Canadian wife over to find out what smelled like home. Taste is a good balance of maple and honey. A good sweet mead, but the sweetness carries a bit too long on the finish. This is a dessert sipper to pair with the right baked goods.

Pours a nice golden color. Nice sweet nose. Pleasant maple flavor without being over the top.

Bottle share courtesy of Dak, thanks! It pours with a clear watery gold body. The aroma offers up sweet slightly waxy honey goodness backed up by a mild almost brown sugar like sweetness. The taste pulses with rich honey sweetness where there’s a moderate tart note in the background. The honey blends into a modest molasses note and a bit of tartness creating a pleasing balance . Lovely mead that leaves you with a dry finish.

Light gold pour with a nice maple and honey aroma. Taste is honey and solid maple but a little too sweet for my taste
