3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Suprema has a thin-to-medium, white head and a clear, bubbly, yellow-golden appearance, with considerable, stratified lacing left down the glass. The aroma is sweet, lemony, and one gets a bit of malt and stinging hops as well. The flavor is rich, lemony, malty, slightly hoppy, and it even has an odd, cream ale olive oil aspect to it. The mouthfeel is light to medium, and Suprema finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and supremely drinkable. This made for a very nice 6 am breakfast beer. Overall, I loved it! RJT

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
330 ml. Clear pale golden with a lasting quarter inch of meringue. Barely noticeable, inoffensive nose of spicy grass and apple. Flavor is the same with some sweet corn. Soft light body is smoothly carbonated and slightly sweet. Interesting that this green bottle had no trace of skunk, yet the brown 350 ml. bottle of "Pilsener of El Salvador" opened just prior (from the same brewery) was all scorched rubber and skunk!

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a clear pale yellow color with a small quickly disappearing white head. Aroma of grain and sweet malt. Flavor is sweet and grassy. I imagine this would be quite tasty in the tropics.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Had it on tap, I think, it came to me in a frozen mug with an empty inch below the rim, so who knows.. this was a very bright yellow beer, around the color of a corona. It was great in the frozen glass, refreshing, crisp and perfect with pupusas on a sunny day. Very light in overall flavor but I think that is the great part about this style.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Bottle. I’ve had worse pale lagers. This one is a clear light yellow pour with a small white head. Nose and taste are grain and grass, with a touch of hops in there too. Not off-putting. Also not really skunky, which was a pleasant surprise given that it was imported half way up the hemisphere in a light green glass bottle.

Sometimes I try to deny that I’m a ticker. Sometimes the evidence is irrefutable.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Canned beer that pours a pale straw color with a 2 finger white head that quickly disappears leaving no lace. Aroma is light malts and grassy hops. Taste is light malty sweet with a sharp hoppy bitterness. No really off flavors in this one, but nothing memorable either.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
11.2oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
Appearance is a clear light yellow with the tiniest of fizzy heads. Head is quick to fade but ok lacing.
Smell grainy with corn and cooked cabbage. Not very appealing.
Flavor is corn and the same cooked cabbage that was in the smell. Also some grape flavor. The beer is pretty sweet throughout with a tannic bitterness towards the finish.
Glad I got to try a beer from El Salvador but not something I would pick up again.
