3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours amber red. I detect a bit of hoppiness in the background. Doesn’t seem uber-imperial at first but then really starts to warm up. A deceptive and tasty beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Reddish pour, off white head. Aroma is nutty, hoppy, some fossil fuel, tropical fruit. Flavor is heavy on the tropical fruit, hoppy flavor in the middle, and finishes a bit alcoholic. Not my favorite.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap. Pours with a clear bronze-brown hued body with a small tan head that fades to a ring. Aromas are nutty, grainy, passionfruit, estery, dank, fruity, musty, brown sugar, low caramel, nutty with a hint of roast. Flavors are sweet and spicy, lots of hops. Citrusy, peppery, passionfruit. Good hop character. Nutty and brown sugar malt notes with low crystal. Medium bubbles, bigger bodied, lightly warming. Slightly odd, kind of chalky finish. Very different, but the hop profile (NZ or AUS?) is pretty killer.
