On tap at the brewery. Pours with a black body and minimal head. Aromas of coffee, roasty, fudge, chocolate, pine, citrus, lightly dank hops. Flavors are roasty, chocolate, spice, pine, light alcohol. Citrusy. Roast is a bit aggressive and comes across a touch astringent. Medium to lively bubbles. This truly is a hoppy porter; over done on the roast.

Dark pour with a light tan head. Aroma of hops mixed with roasted malt and some roasted nuts. Flavor is a pretty decent mix of hops and roasted malt. Not a bad take on a style that I am kinda sick of.

The pour is really dark brown with a tall khaki head. Really good hop aroma to begin. Plenty of citrus hops, light grass, pine, and pineapple. There is some good roast, very mild bread, and a light sweetness. The flavor has only a hint of cocoa and a moderate roast character. Mostly grapefruit, pineapple, and pine. Moderate bitterness on the back end with a light sweetness.

Black color with tan foam. Hoppy pine, florals with dusty black malts. medium bodied with average co2. Mildly astringent dry black malt flavors with pine, floral hoppage, late semi sweet chocolate, with a drying finish--good.

Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours a very dark hazy brown with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a musty pine note with some earthy dark grains and a good amount of roasted malts. Flavor is similar with a strong roasted malt note supported by a bit of resin and pine as well as underlying dark grains.

On tap at GABF 2012. Pours a almost black color with a medium tan head. A sweet nose of bitter chocolates and fresh hops. The flavor is really nice: pine, light bitterness, roast, char. Very smooth. Tasty.

Bomber from bytemesis - thanks, Mike! Potent dark brown pour with a sticky, filmy head. Some pine dankness in the nose, but overall there’s some pretty serious char going on. Tons of roasted malts and dark grains, with some pungent herbal hops lumped in for balance. Not a great example of the style, though.

Bomber from Me & Ed’s Pizza, Oxnard. Nose is pine, grapefruit, and a hint of roasted malt. Black with a big beige head. Flavor is bitter with piney resin and a hint of toasted bread.
