COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed as an American Pale Ale with a twist, a healthy dose of rye adds a subtle spiciness and frothy white head while generous amounts of pleasantly spicy and floral American hops compliment the gentle rye character.

Bottle from KegNBottle (NC): Poured a dense dark golden honey hue with a slight tint of amber red while a thick development of foam head which took several minutes to simmer down. Nose is faint with minor notes of whole grain wheat bread and perhaps a chance of rye, however, a notice of subtle hops is there as well. The drink is balanced smooth but allows more favor towards the bready like malts and suggests more evidence of the rye than the aroma would have led me to believe. This beer reminds me a lot of Rogue Ales which is a good thing since they’re one of my favorite breweries.

Hazed orange pour with a white head. Nice orange peel note, plenty of pine, and some rye. A bit of bread sweetness, light floral hops, and some body odor. Flavor is mostly orange peel, rye, and bread. But there’s some mild grass and a decent bitterness. Floral hops, light pine, and a moderate sweetness.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear gold color. Earthy rye and dank, spicy, and light citrus hop aroma. Nice hoppy flavor all the way through with a malty, bready finish and an earthy rye touch as well. Pretty nice rye pale ale.
