4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from can to glass. Hazy straw hue with white head that dissipated to a ring. Aroma is a hop explosion of citrus, pine, naval orange, big grapefruit aroma. Mouthfeel is nice with light body and great carbonation. Taste is dry with nice hop bitterness. Overall this is a really nice brew with huge hop flavored and aroma. Very little maltiness to be found.

Pours light yellow from can. Carbed up pretty heavy. Smells of hops fill the room during pour. Very dry, light, hoppy. Very nice IPA!

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
One of the better IPAs I have had. Poured from can (thanks to my buddy chad!). Had this side by side with Maine Brewing Lunch and Pliney the Elder. It got 2nd place behind Pliney. But close. Yellowing Florecent color. Very fruity and tropical aroma. Bitter hoppy and perfect fruit balance. Delicious beer

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
500 ml can. Hazy golden. Fine medium sized white head. Piney hoppy aroma. Some grapefruit as well, but for the most part piney. Very delicate, and bold at the same time. Lots of caramel and malts to balance. Abrasive, indeed. Well balanced. Rich malty flavours and fresh hop flavours. A very tasty double IPA. Love it. Thanks Morten.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can thanks to Bob! Drank from the can, so no comments on color, clarity, or head. Nose is citrus with notes of danky perfume. No real malt aroma. They should have used wide mouth cans. Duh! Taste is initially a bit sweeter than I was expecting, with a medium to high amount of flavor hops. Not overly bitter and the hops are, dare I say, balanced, for a DIPA. Finishes kinda sweet. overall enjoyable. Would like to try on draft one day.

Incredible pine and citrus aroma. Citrus sweetness just about perfectly balanced with heavy hop bitterness. Pours gold and drinks easy. Wouldn’t guess 9% abv. Another great beer from Surly.

Tall boy can from 12-10-13...poured golden clear with 2 fingers of white head, mild carbonation and lacing. Nose is strong grapefruit and floral. Taste is layers of fruit and floral with a light mouthfeel and bitter finish.

Can. Golden pour, white head. Very sweet, fruity, hoppy aroma. Beautiful complex flavour, with dry hop notes, sweet citrus, light tartness and plenty more. Well-balanced and fabulously tasty.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A golden DIPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, beautiful floral hops, intense piney and citrusy character, over biscuit malt. In mouth, a nice citrusy biscuit malt with loads of pink grapefruit pulp, floral and resinous hops, very nice and complex, a good example of the style. On tap at End of Everything beer fest Dec 22 2013.
