COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sure we’re abrasive. We were abrasive long before we were Surly. If you visit the brewery you can still see remnants of the industrial manufacturing factory Omar’s parents ran for 35 years within those same 4 walls. Bandsaw blades, grinding wheels, and sanding discs came long before ales and lagers. But let’s be honest, this is a lot more fun. Pale in color, this over-hopped, under-brewed Double IPA has almost twice the amount of hops & malt crammed in the can. Seasonal between March and April.

RBSG 2010. Poured a hazy copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex earthy hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish that was long lasting. This is a standout can beer.

A golden DIPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, beautiful floral hops, intense piney and citrusy character, over biscuit malt. In mouth, a nice citrusy biscuit malt with loads of pink grapefruit pulp, floral and resinous hops, very nice and complex, a good example of the style. On tap at End of Everything beer fest Dec 22 2013.

Can... This beer rocks!… Clear amber/orange ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The fruity aroma consists mainly of pineapple, orange peel and grapefruit. Full-bodied and velvety with modest carbonation. The ultra-fruity flavor actually leans a bit sweet – bursting with juicy citrus and tropical fruits. Finishes fruity, nourishing and bittersweet. Maybe my can is less than fresh, but there is absolutely abrasive about this gem. World class beer packed up and shipped to me by StFun!
