From a growler. Dark brownish color. Smell of malt, nuts, coffee, chocolate, toffee and caramel. Taste of the same but better with a wonderful lingering bitterness. What a great beer.

I had two frosted tap mugs out on the patio at Old Chicago. My first impression was the medium/dark chocolate colour. Has a nice smallish white head, and the first sip was fantastic. I could hardly contain myself! Smooth and hoppy, chocolate with subdued expresso notes, this was MY beer. I will continue to seek and destroy this brewerage.

16oz can from the new roommate Megan (what’s better than a roommate that brings you beer back from their weekend vacation?!?!). Dark brown almost black color with large, creamy tan head. Aroma is caramel and light pine hops, and chocolate. Flavor is nice roasted malt, med sweet, pine hops, light chocolate, quite a lot of flavor. Very nice body to balance out flavor, ful bodied and creamy. A very good beer.

Pours a very dark amber with a big frothy off white head that quickly fades. Very nice aroma and flavor. Great mild sour malts and hops. Hints of coffee and chocolate. Has sort of a refreshing tart finish. Another winner (from a can).

dark brown, nice large beige head. Aroma is sweet and hoppy, with a nice maltiness. Flavour is hoppy, but very subtle, with a nice caramel. Wow, this is a great session beer, crisp, and flavourful, i could drink this all night!

Can from Footbalm - Thanks! Pours a dark brown with a modest tan head. Light lacing. My first impression is the aroma of wheat bread with some nuts, as well as a little maltiness. Tastes of a brown ale with solid malt, toffee, roasted nuts, and some bittersweet cocoa. Nice creamy feel.

Very slight chocolate aroma, and pours a dark reddish-brown with a thick slightly off-white head. A nice creamy mouthfeel on it, a touch of sweetness to begin, and then a coffee bitter finish. I just wish I could get this around me.

Good fruity yeast aroma with hint of bananas. Flavor is natural yeast, creamy, lightly roasted malt, and dried fruit. Body is creamy. Duration is slightly bitter but balanced. Deep brownish ready with frothy tan head.
Good.
