4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Can. Pours a beautiful golden color with a fluffly white head and oodles of lacing as it went down, appearance is just about perfect. Aroma is floral, some citrus, and light grains. Flavor is light lemon, floral hops, tea-like notes, and hay. Palate is light bodied, creamy texture, finished bitter and refreshing. Great beer, true to the style. This is my new session beer for the ages!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours hazy yellow with a huge rocky white head. Nose is yeasty and spicy. Taste is toasty malt, spicy and floral hops, black pepper. Finishes dry and bitter. Definitely an a-typical bitter.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pale yellow but a bit hazy pour. Thin white head. Citrus, pineapple, almost candied citrus on the nose. Flavor is orangey/grapefruit. A bit odd. Not what I was expecting.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
16oz can to tulip. Pours clear straw/gold, white sticky head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit and peppercorn. Taste is the same. As advertised...less malt backbone, but great beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Can. Hazy, light orange body with an inch plus of white head. Aromas of citrus, earthy hops, pine, alcohol. Bitter indeed. Resinous, earthy hops. Light, even thin, bodied with aggressive bitterness, peaking mid to late palate. Not the easy drinking, session beer renowned in England.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
16oz can. Pale yellow pour with a big soapy head of huge bubbles. The head diminishes like the frothy on a milkshake; around the edges first and leaves a lumpy residue. Bitter hop aroma that is very attractive. Flavors are bright, clean, refreshing bitterness. Delicious. I love the low alcohol content. Easy to drink. Well deserved reputation.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can at home, pours a hazy yellow with thick head and average retention. Leaves a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma is citrusy hops, lightly fruity. Taste is orange, light tropical fruit, clean, but extremely bitter. Pretty enjoyable. Lots of flavor from a low ABV beer.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Yet another disappointment from Surly. The flavor actually isn’t awful - kind of a sour pineapple - but aftertaste is wretchedly bitter.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Poured from a can. Hazy yellow to golden orange with a thin white head that doesn’t last long. Has a weird dry finish that doesn’t get pulled away. Faint Citrus aromas and flavor kinda. This one is just missing something on every category for me. Maybe a bad can?
