3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
September 15, 2012 on tap at the Autumn Brew Review in Minneapolis. Has a nice amber color with decent head. Had a nice hop presence with the Brett funk giving it kind of an apple like flavor that I enjoyed.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Surly Brett Wagon: Approximately 2 oz. pour on tap at the Autumn Brew Review in Minneapolis on 9-15-12. Funky aroma smells like armpit, but in a way that is not as off-putting as one would expect. I’m probably being generous in giving the aroma an 8, given that the beer arguably smells bad in the classic sense, but the aroma is powerful and works well in context. Pours a hazy orange-ish color. Sweet, surprisingly subtle IPA taste features apricot. The Brett funk makes its presence felt much more in the aroma than in the taste. Very interesting beer overall and one of my favorites from the festival. 8/4/8/3/16

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
September 15, 2012 on tap at the Autumn Brew Review in Minneapolis. Cloudy orange pour with head that lasted. Brett funk with some citrus hops in the aroma and taste. This combo did not work so well for me, but A for effort.
