16 oz can shared by boamr, thanks Ryan for being enough of a man to share a beer from Minnesoate with the biggest NJ Vikings fan on the day they whooped the shit out of your Detriot Lions, AD and Rice baby!!!! Poured a deep dark brown with milk chocolate edges and a smaller foamy beige head. Aroma was like a cup of iced coffee, loads of fresh brewed coffee and even a touch of fresh cream with a slight nod to some bitter hops as well. The coffee flavor wasn’t quite as strong as the aroma implied and the hops step up a bit to make this one a little more bitter then expected but hey it is a beer after all. This is one solid beer and for a 5.1% in a can is one of the most comlex sessionable brews I have ever had.

Can; pours a very dark brown with a large creamy tan head that has soapy lacing, good head retention. Aroma is very coffee with a hints of coffee grounds, some nuttiness amd a little chocolate notes. Also seems like some oats are present. Flavor is heavy coffee at first bit melds into nice chocolate, nuttiness, and good creaminess in the mouth feel. Very nice beer but not nearly as good as regular Bender.

Cask Stillage from the Jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 24/09/2009 Big coffee roast aroma. Copper mid brown coloured a little rich on the palate and fruity with a crisp and bitter coffee roast finish.

Looks smells and tastes like a cup of black coffee with a little bit of beer in it. Probably the best beer in a can I have ever had. I could drink this all day

RBSG 07. Tap at Surly. Dark brown, tan carbonation. Toasty, biscuity malt with a mild dose of earthy, bitter hops on the end. Coffee is strong but not overpowering. The roasted coffee and the malt are well integrated. Medium body, just a touch more carbonation than balanced, easy to drink. From notes.

Location: 16 oz can via trade with NickD717, 11/10/09

Aroma: The coffee is predominant in the nose, along with some roasted malts, vanilla, and chocolate
Appearance: Pours a dark red-brown color with a decent amount of tan head, and quite a bit of lace
Flavor: The taste is quite similar to the nose, much of the same characteristics, again quite dominated by the coffee malts
Palate: Solidly drinkable mouthfeel, fairly thick and creamy with a decent amount of body
Overall Impression: This was a solid beer. Not only my first rating from the brewery, but my first from the great state of Minnesota. Overall, it made for a decent beer, but I just didn’t get that much beyond the roasted coffee.

16 oz. can. Pours a clear reddish brown color with a medium sized creamy beige head. The aroma is coffee, with rich malt, and a surprising amount of nuttiness. The flavor has a pleasing amount of dark coffee with a creaminess that is not expected. Caramel malts are present early, but give way to an earthy, nutty and bitter finish. Medium bodied and very smooth to drink. The coffee is a bit too forward, but I think this is a push with the regular Bender.
