From can. Canned on 12/10/12. Pours deep brown with thick foam that does not recede much. Similar to a good stout. Totally unique aroma. Like coffee with cream, toast, and nuts. Just a but if hop aroma punches through. Taste is like bitter light roast coffee. The hop bitterness really lingers at the end. Mouth is thick and chewy. I was thinking I would like this better than the original since I'm a coffee fan, but I do not. Won't be drinking more than my 4 pack. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bender Bender infused with coffee, ...what bean, what blend, what process? Golly, I donít know, but itís great.(an edit to cover my ignorance, info from the brewer: Beans are from the Vinca Vista Hermosa plantation located in Agua Dulce area in Huehuetenango,Guatemala. Grown by the Martinez family. Full City roast by Coffee &Tea Ltd.,Linden Hills,Minneapolis) Solid ebon color, browish at bottom, with a beautifully hued head, a deep cocoa tan looking for all the world like a shot of espresso, with a generous dollop of froth. Aromaís where itís at, wide open and long-lastin, rich with coffee, with a hint of cream. Herbal, nutty, chocolatey, brimming with coffee essence. A treat to drink in with the nose. But now letís let the lips and tongue go to work. More delights. The coffee has overpowered the subtler parts of Benderís character, but thereís no sorrow in this, as the coffee flavor that controls it now is an exceptional playmate for the palate. Really sticks to the tongue and lays long in the finish. Medium to full body, long, coffee-tinged finish, unflinchingly flavorful, and still an easy treat to drink down. This has met with near unanimous praise among those Iíve witness enjoy it, and I can only hope itís attempted again and again, so that more may discover this jolt of joy for java freaks, and beer geeks alike.

Pour from a can is a nice dark rich brown similar to coffee. Aroma is straight from a fresh pot of regular coffee. Taste is a little bitter like black coffee but goes down smooth. Leaves a clean after taste.

Poured from can into shaker. Translucent brown with frothy off-white head. Smell is like coffee grounds. Taste is almost all brewed coffee, with a little bit of hops and beer taste lingering in the background. Feel is a little thin, but smooth, like coffee, so appropriate. Overall, a cool, interesting beer. It REALLY tastes like coffee, which is kind of incredible. Couldnít drink it all day (probably not intended for that), but Iím really enjoying it.

From can. Pours dark brown with a creamy, light brown head. Aroma has coffee... and thatís pretty much it! Light roasted, fruity, smooth coffee, coffee berries. Taste is smooth, roasted coffee, a hint of roasted malts, more coffee. A slight caramel, but not very sweet. Slightly watery body, but overall really nice beer!

Can. Pours clear brown reddish, with minimal light brown head. Aroma is loads of coffee. Fresh green coffee, fresh grounded coffee, roast and some coffee berries. Taste is medium sweet and roasty dry coffee. Long dry finish and thin body. Clean coffee. Nice coffee beer!

Can 50cl. Dark clear brown, small tan head. Aroma of fresh pre-roasted coffee beans and not much else; some fruits and berries and a faint hint of chocolate. Taste is light on the tongue, but quite delicate; also one-dimensional and lacking the thick bitter body of most coffee beers. Fresh and easy to drink.

one dimensional for sure, but MAN is it a tasty dimension. all iced coffee. the nose, the flavor, even the feel. thin, but smooth. dark brown with a red tinge in light. covers up the original beer pretty well, which is both good and bad. if youíre not a coffee person, youíd hate this. itís the most straight up coffee like beer iíve ever had, and not a whole lot else."

Hazy dark brown with a beautiful light tan head. It smells like a used coffee filter. Taste is the same, used coffee filter, lots of coffee and kindda earthy. Medium bitter with earthy palate. Medium body. average carbonation and a long coffee aftertaste.

Can at home. Pour is deep town with a big tan head and good lacing. Huge coffee, malty, caramel, some cookie malt, light pepper and cocoa in the aroma. Taste is big coffee, some roast, graham crackers, caramel, toast, brown sugar, and bread. Medium body with soft carbonation. Tasty, but could truly benefit from a heavier body and a touch more cocoa.
