This beer is our regular Bender beer with Guatemalan coffee, and roasted locally at Coffee & Tea Limited in Linden Hills. Coldpress coffee aromas, intense coffee flavors balanced by the oats in the malt bill, resulting in a cappuccino-like creaminess.

Dark brown with decent head retention. Great lacing throughout. Roasted dark coffee smell but not too strong. Not like a coffee porter. Sharp bitter flavor right away-not what you’d expect from a coffee beer. Coffee flavor for real coffee drinkers.

Can. Aroma of coffee and chocolate malts. Medium sweet taste up front with that roasty flavor. Medium body, very smooth. Some bitter coffee flavor in the finish mixes well with the sweet malts. Overall very good.

Pint can. Very nice iced coffee aroma! Dark nut brown color, clear, with thick white head that dissipates pretty quickly. Smooth flavor, coffee, light bitterness. Body is a little thin. Overall, it is a very nice tasting coffee. Good brown ale base with awesome coffee flavor.

Intense coffee, dark roast filter, dark toasted malts. Clear, dark brown, medium, creamy, off-white head. Light bitter. Some sweet, dark, toasted malts coming up, coffee, chocolate, soft carbonation. Nice Coffee Brown Ale, Keg at the brewery, Minneapolis.

On tap at Deadwood winery with Erica, Chris and Patty. Black color. Off white head, quickly receding. Aroma’s: sweet coffee, mocha, light coffee-sourness, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet, roasted, light coffee sourness. Light to medium bodied. Very good.

Can. Pours a dark brown. Aroma and taste are lots of coffee, some nuttiness, and creamy.

16 oz can. Pours clear light ruby brown with a medium frothy light tan head that retains fairly well and leaves little lacing.

The aroma is sweet chocolate malt and roast coffee.

The flavor is a lot of roast with some sweet nutty chocolate malt and a lot of roast coffee. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a little thin.

Overall, a nice coffee beer.

If you’ve seen the other reviews you’ll know that has a really strong coffee taste. Not in a bad way but pretty intense dark flavor. I like that it comes in pint cans. A couple of these are really nice with a meal or just sipping. I’m not a coffee drinker at all but this one is pretty tasty.

Intense coffee bomb. Not much else. Sone malt and light roast. Black pour with decent head and lacing. Ligh caramel in finish. Tap at Churchkey.

Can. A- Sauteed vegetables, earthy coffee, roasty. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, beige head. T- Coffee, bell peppers, earthy, slightly bitter. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, strong finish. O- A pretty good brown ale. Wish the coffee would have been a sweeter type of coffee instead of a vegetal/earthy kind of coffee. Either was it was good, but maybe not the best.
